Did you actually read anything on this thread, try starting with post #1, I am trying not to be sarcastic here due to you being a newbie, but there is a whole forum with thousands of posts about your situation, please try and read it instead of bumping a thread from the depths

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

I'll stick my neck out here and say that a lot if newbies are to damn lazy and bone idle to search for stuff themselves.

It's like on Sheffield forum. They ask for bus times yet a search reveals the right website.

So get of your !!!! and look yourself.

Next you will want your !!!! wiping
For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.

I've received a ticket from ukcps today while in a retail park, and after reading the posts here was wondering if I should ignore it as well. Has anyone else had a similar experience??
Thanks

You probably found this thread by Googling. Maybe you are not familiar with forums? Honestly we are a friendly & helpful bunch but bumping a random old thread you've read isn't a good idea for you or to get advice.

You have posted on a very random oldish thread so it makes me wonder if you have even seen the 'bigger picture' of our whole forum and information near the top?

To avoid bumping ancient old forum threads, always click back to the main forum when you find a random old thread by Googling. Read the current information - not an old discussion you stumbled upon.

It's easy and it's only one click away. You have no idea how many current threads are about parking companies and their debt collection services! :)

See my signature for where to click (works with any forum, always look for the breadcrumb trail, usually tiny blue writing at the top of a forum page). Click on the right hand end of the run of >links and hey presto you see the forum the ancient thread comes from.

Then read the thread, fifth from the top, 'PPC letter chains' - get a preview of the letters to ignore. Please don't miss that thread, please don't stop reading now, you do need to be prepared for the letters or you'll be back worrying each time you get one.

You could just look at the preview pics now and play snap with each matching letter - much more fun!

By the way, forgot to say that it's a fake PCN, pointless letters from pen-pushers, and a complete SCAM!

• Hi I received a parking fine from UKCPS for parking in a free car park at a shopping outlet, the ticket states that in order to appeal I still have to pay the fine and it would be refunded if successful, this sounded wrong to me then found this forum saying that this company is a scam and that the fine is unenforceable? Is this true??

Did you read the thread - Especially the bit about bumping old threads? You should really have started a new one.

And yes, it is a scam. Just Ignore. Check the letter chain threads to see what to expect from them.
• Yes, there are oodles of posts confirming this, have a good read.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Yes it is true
Yes it is unenforceable.

I'm sure other posters with 1st hand experience will give you more detailed information

I am pretty sure that for them to say 'pay with your appeal' is a breach of the BPA Code of Practice. Please report them to the DVLA for this breach:

FOI@dvla.gsi.gov.uk

You do know now that this is not a fine and you can just ignore it and all their letters in the absence of real Court papers (which will not come)?
