Morning all!
NPM congratulations, everything crossed for you!
Been a funny weekend, OH has been in a right mood, kids were both away, so I have mostly been reading my kindle......not a lot done other than washing, although yesterday at least I threw the bottom of the fridge veg into the SC with some meat and made a lovely stew.
Back to sensible mode today as OH and DD are at work and no doubt DS will be off out when he surfaces, so WM is on, ironing mountain soon to be tackled, then out with the hoover and duster! Mum bought me new curtains for the living room last week, so will iron them too and put them up....oh, that means I will need to wash the window too. wish me luck!!!!RIP Iain

Good morning Halight and all,
Ive never been so happy to see Monday morning i can tell you. I was so wound up and stressed when i went to bed last night i couldnt sleep. I played on my Facebook till gone 2am reminising with people in a group i was added to a few days ago about growing up in the area i live in. So many school friends have surfaced!
Beautiful day here, ive got washing but it can wait till tomorrow i think i need to give the house a good vaccuuming throughout, the kitchen floor needs cleaning and i will give the bathroom the once over too. Its too hot to do anything more.
On the plus side i took hubby shopping yesterday and bought him some shirts out of Debenhams. I bought them out of the Debenhams vouchers i get from ShopandScan.. He needs some new jeans too but at £50 a pair he is going to have to wait and i'm desperate for clothes too..... i also got reminded that we have christmas coming up as i headed towards the till.
One thing i like to do is save my loose change and give it to charity. Ive got a huge plant pot full of change that i am going to bag up today, ive been saving it for years but now its overflowing the pot. Put it in my bank account and split the proceeds between The British Heart Foundation (my daughter died of congenital heart defects so the charity is pretty close to my heart) and also the Dogs Trust. My husband helped build the new Dogs Trust in Loughborough a few months back and he was very impressed with the standard of care they are providing. That and their motto 'We never put a healthy dog down' gets a big thumbs up from me.
Ive got a doctors appointment at 4.45. Need to discuss tablets with him again as my blood pressure is still too high.
JackieO. Glad Mikey was confident enough to get in the pool and Loulou, i'm thinking of you.
Have a great day allThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Morning all,
Not much chance of a BBq here.we've had some really heavy rain over the last few days and it actually hailstoned yesterday  DSons are back from their festival in Cumbria today so I think there will be muddy washing and wet tents around-lovely!The garden looks a mess as there has hardly been chance to mow its so wet, weeds sprouting aplenty. Its been very peaceful here,we went out for a curry to a new place with some friends and it was yummy.
Yesterday went to see DH Aunt & Uncle so DH could measure up new windows for them-last week DU said he wanted them all doing, but has changed his mind and just wants 4 now-to his wifes disgust. They do need doing, the dg units have gone and she cant even see out of the kitchen window :rotfl:They have the money to do it all so no problem there, but he has always been 'careful'.Trouble is they have a nice bungalow with a fantastic garden but the house is looking a bit run down now.Anyway Auntie gave us 2 big pizzas-a neighbour works where they make them and they were surplus to an order,so thats prob tomorrows tea :DHoping DSs dont spot them otherwise they'll want them tonight and I have some meat that needs using today.
Off to carry on with the tidying, hope you all have a good day.
Halight-hope it goes ok and you get some money.
NPM-lovely news, hope everything goes ok this time.
Lou-hugs-hope you feel a bit better
Hugs to those suffering poor health,PP,LW,Molly,BBrain,Hilly, and others x
Judi-well done with the charity change pot :T:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

I'm working on my research paper whilst waiting to see if postie turns up, he always comes at the same time with packages. Then I will go post some stuff, collect some parcels, see if i can get the cheap suncream at boots and get some storage boxes. Most of my ebay stuff has bids and last night two patterns for childrens animal onesies sold for £5  so I will have another ebay rummage later. I'm pretty sure I have an OU assignment due soon as well eeeek!
Tea will be ys soup for me and might drag a ys pizza out the freezer for him. Basically I can't be bothered to cook!

Hi all:wave:
Back to “normal” around here, as Mr LW's course is finished, and he's back in the office today.:o
Judi I'm so sorry to hear about Scooby;:( hopefully he'll have just gone to sleep, and not known a thing about it. Sleep well, little Scooby.
Just reading on your post today, about jeans – Mr LW got some recently, from the P£ter Christi@n website, £65 for 2 pairs, including p&p; he's really pleased with them.
Halight I hope the job centre appointment wasn't too awful; Mr LW always said it was horrible going, so humiliating as they treated him as though he was a lazy wot-not, but you just have to rise above it and not take it personally. Hopefully you'll find another job soon.:o
NPM how lovely to see you – and Congratulations!
Anniestar Hoppy Birdday.
BB That tool looks like something I could do with!:D Let us know how you get on with it; if it's good, I'll have a look for one next time I'm in town.:o
Ted's last day with us today:( – he's due to be collected at 09:30 tomorrow morning. The little love is making full use of the sofa – he's been snoozing on it all morning.:D I don't know what he was dreaming about, but his little feet were twitching, and he was making little “wuff wuff” noises.:D
ETA Halight you posted as I was tidying up my post - glad the job centre wasn't too awful. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Many congratulations noahspennilessmum!
