New to tablet : which one?

I have a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tab and would not recommend or purchase a Samsung tablet again. Firstly, they ruin Android (as they do with most of their phones) by putting crap on top of it which makes the experience much worse. Secondly, I had numerous hardware issues from the screen being in a bad way for the past year to it very recently deciding that it couldn't charge and then obviously being unusable. This could probably have been sorted under warranty but the fact that they had already ruined the operating system made it pointless to me.
I am going to wait for Google to hopefully release a Nexus 10" to follow up from their Nexus 7. Good old vanilla Android0 -
Hi there not been on here for a while but am looking to buy one of the above and am not sure which is the best and most compatible with my Samsung Galaxy S2 mobile that I have? I dont want to have to pay or have to download all my apps that I have on my mobile again onto one of the above.
My other half has in fact got the Ipad but he also has an Iphone and so it is more compatible for him, but not sure after reading and seeing the reviews for the Samsung Galaxy Tablet I am certainly veering towards that instead of Ipad!
I would use mine for the web, Facebook, games and downloading apps, so any advice on which to choose please?
I did read that the Samsung Tablet has a SD card slot and so it would mean that if I bought that one I could save money by getting the 16gb and if i needed more memory that it can be achieved by the SD memory card.
Many thanks for reading this
That was my choice, and then i opted for the 8.9 Galaxy Tab as prefer the size. Mother in law has an Ipad and a work colleague has a 10.1 tab so had a chance to play with both. My phone is android so having that compatability makes sense as you only buy apps once on google play and you can install them on any of your devices.
I went 8.9 over 10.1 for the portability, yes the screen is smaller but for my uses - Mainly meeting papers, Internet, and email with occasional e-magazine and Video watching its perfect. Even though it does not have an sd slot i bought it with an SD adapter that fits in the charging port.
Oh, best of all it was a US Samsung factory refurbished and cost me just £177 through a Brighton based company on ebay (Not Digigood). Everything works fine on it so havent noticed any issues of it not being from UK originally0
