Hi Pixie.
I am glad you are getting all your credits sorted. You will be studying again in no time.....I was about to go to bed but I might have a sneaky peek at the OU site again while it is in my head.
I will keep my fingers crossed that you can find a suitable house to get you back to the village you like.
We had to move away from our village for a year and I hated it. Like you I was 5 miles away but I still didn't like it!

Go for it with the OU, I can't wait to get started again. I must spend some time organising revision and getting my maths brain going again - though helping dd1 with her gcse revision has been a start!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Lovely day here today so I have washing on the line:T
I need to go food shopping today - just done next weeks meal plan and I don't need to buy too much, that's brilliant as I haven't spent much so far so might have money left over in the grocery account this week:D
Otherwise a quiet weekend - tidying up, getting ironing done, girls getting homework done etc.
Off to put another load of washing out:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hi Pixie, a quick question for you - have you ever been to the Xmas market in your town and do you recommend it? I went to ours last year and wasn't overly impressed! My oldest wants to go to Hawkins Bazaar which I think is still open in your town - ours unfortunately has closed, so it would be a good thing to combine the two.
Thanks, dangers0 -
Glad you've sorted work0

Well, had a lovely quiet weekend - the only spend was on a takeaway for dd2 and I...shhhhh;)
Grocery spends didn't go as we'll as planned...oops, £69:o:o Goodness knows how...But I still have £17 in the account which I won't need...will just want bread this week, so that's a first to have money left over, I usually borrow from another account;)
Dinner tonight is going to be hm meatballs and tomato sauce, so better crack I with that. Girls are out at gym, will pick up at half 6.
I posted a pile of eBay and amazon sales today - have just transferred £74 from eBay and £24 from amazon. Postage was about £17, so a bit of extra cash for my savings account there. I have nothing on eBay right now so need to get a few bits listed, photos are all ready so shouldn't take long.
My boots from as0s arrived today - really pleased with them, reduced to £40(from £60 I think), then to £32 with the code. Also 2 pairs of jeans for dd1 as she only has 2 pairs of decent ones - they were £21 which is fab. I'm keeping a pair for Xmas though.
Right, off to make some meatballs:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Thanks for the pm Pixie, have replied.0

Whoooops, I have been awol;)
Still around and still attempting a mse-type life...hard with 2 teens with expensive tastes but we're doing ok:)
I've just ordered dd2 a new mobile for Xmas, £20 a month contract which is £10 more than I pay now - but she's having an iPhone as right now her ipod and blackberry are useless. The iPod died completely and bb is on its way out, it's kn@ckered, and 2 yrs old anyway. Ex is going to pay some of the contract so I'm happy with it. She'll be over e moon as she thinks she's having my phone when my contract is up in Jan as her pressie, she was happy to wait. So it'll be a gd surprise. Then when my contract up, I will jus go to a monthly sim only contract at about £12 a month. Well actually be better off - instead of £35 currently for mine and £10 for dds, it'll be £20 £10 paid by ex) for hers and £12 for mine:T
eBay sales have tailed off a bit - running out of stuff to sell:rotfl: I have a few things on there right now, nothing that'll make much but it'll all help with Xmas.
I had a letter about tax credits changing last week - new weekly award, they paid in some on Monday, not my usual day, but I assumed that was my weekly payment just on the wrong day - no, I still got my regular Thursday money, so that was a bonus. It went into savings...hopefully it wasn't a mistake:D
Ok, off to tidy up.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Glad you're OK. Hope the bad weather is easing off where you are.
Great news on the phone contract - your dd will be so happy with that.
I really must get more stuff on ebay...I just CBA at the momentIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
