Think you better think about getting this into print JackieoO!xxx:rHere dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

These freebie eggs your giving away to family and friends can't you intrduce a 'swop' system whereby for half a dozen eggs, you maybe get a jar of jam, or some veg in exchange Even a packet of loo rolls or toothpaste will save you pennies in your shopping I would happily swop something I have in excess, for free range eggs Your not selling them, only going back to the old system of bartering . Friends and family know you need a bit of help and if they're too tight to help you out then their not much good as friends.
best wishes

I took 9 eggs down to my mum on Sunday, a little later she got her purse out and gave me £3 i said i didn't want money (as she's my mum) but she insisted, saying the eggs are so much better than any shop bought eggs and she eats loads.

Its amazing the power of the internet that has got everyone, almost as it was when I was a little girl, passing on bits of news and information in an 'over the fence ' sort of way.I think this has shown what good can come from this new sort of media. The internet is always being slated for the wrong things that happen, but the fact that my collection of recipes drawn together over a long period ,some mine, some from the folk on here, has gone out to over the past couple of years several hundred people who in turn have forwarded it on to their friends is great Similar to dropping a small stone in a big puddle and watching the way the ripples fan out.I am pleased that those who have been able have passed it on and I shall continue to add to my collection with some of the terrific stuff that gets posted on here.
My late ma-in-law had a cook book that came from her Gt, Grandma, apart from the stuff printed in it there were lots of recipes written on scraps of paper that had been handed down to the following daughters and daughter-in-law.After my Ma-in-law died by the time we had sorted out lots of bits in her house I found that my late brother-in-law had chucked it out I was so upset, as I would have loved it even just for the historical and social value. He thought it was just an old cook book full of scraps of paper and thought no one would want it (typical bloke) I keep all the recipes if I can that I have used and remember from my late mum, and my DDs both have them copied down Since having a computer its so much easier, and when I see someone has posted something i fancy, or think is an inexpensive one, it goes straight into my folder(all ways backed up:))I think I will in furure add who had posted them as it will be nice to give them a wee nod of thanks .My inbox has now emptied out a bit thank goodness .It was a bit overwhelming last night as I hadn't realised the amount of folk around who would have been that interested .Thanks again to all who have helped spread the word
Cheers everyone

My mum has an old not-quite-recipe book of my great-aunt's that contains recipes, calculations for multiplying quantities in recipes and other baking tips and costings. My great granddad ran his own bakery, passed down to his son (granddad) and daughter (great aunt), granddad baked the bread, great aunt did the books. The book is a fascinating bit of social history, even more so as I can relate it to the old lady that I knew.

Sign up for free. Upload the recipe book, share it with anyone who has the link, then paste the link into a message on this thread. Voila - no large emails to send out. Everyone gets a look, and can download it if they wish.
I have done this fingers crossed its done OK0 -
https://www.box.com/files I clicked the link at the top ,hopefully it will work ok and you can see what I have uploaded Fingers crossed as I'm not very good at techy things
