I have had the most awesome day. Got to the stadium in Cardiff and found out that our tickets were valid for both the ladies matches, so we got to see Team GB play too :j:j. The atmosphere was amazing!! Really really enjoyed. I didn't make my meal out with uni girls cos we stayed for the 2nd match, but we went out for food in Cardiff with my friends after the matches.
I got to be a good samaritan too. We were standing in the concourse at half time next to a man and his 2 daughters. He turned and asked us in a whisper if we could help him out as his older daughter (about 13) had just confessed that she thought she had started her periods and he didn't know what to do as he was a man! So I whisked her off to the loos, bought her some sanitary towels from the machine, then had to explain to the poor terrified girl how they work and how often to change them. Then had to explain that they would need to go to shop to buy some supplies (they were staying for few days and no mention of a Mum). Bless her she was so mortified that her Dad knew! (I don't think my Dad knows I have periods and I'm 30 :rotfl:). My 2 friends stayed out with the dad and explained to him that he needed to take her to the shops after and just to act normal with her. He was extremely grateful to me when we came back.
Shattered now, bed soon. Night all

Lou: This is probably a bit too late for you and I can't think of anything to say anyway. Lovey, you sound so desperate and we all feel so helpless. All I can do is to pray very hard that the black cloud lifts for long enough to show you that there is hope. You know that we are all rooting for you on here. x
LW: Thanks. Foot and ankle look slightly more normal today perhaps because it's a bit cooler. Why only one ankle though?
Thought of you today. Was invited to someone's house for a cup of tea. They had 2 completely bonkers spaniels and the most gorgeous golden retriever who came and leant against me. I love dogs who lean. Then she tried to get on to my lap! They also had horses, now I'm not a horsey person but there was the most fiesty pony who had a long conversation with me, tried to eat my Tshirt and being thwarted in that tried nibbling my shoes. I removed myself while I still had something to wear home.
Then I met Watson who lives with a chap who struggles alone on benefits and eking out a dismal existence in a bedsit. Watson is 15 and very wise. He allowed me to make a fuss of him. He is very tired but his eyes were bright and knowing. His coat was a bit grubby and he could have done with a bath but his eyes told me that cleanliness and comfort didn't even register against being with someone who needed and loved you. I found it hard to leave him.I believe that friends are quiet angels
