LouLou, i missed your post when i posted mine. Sending you much needed hugs. Can i suggest you go and chat to your GP? Your midwife isnt probably the best person to talk to about your depression.

    Hi all

Just catching up - a bonus, as I didn't expect to get onto MSE today, but Mr LW is watching a (boring) film he taped a while ago, and I can';t get any further weekend tasks done til he's ready to assist. *rolls eyes*

Lou you hang in there, mate; hormones may be at least part of the cause, I don't know, but just dismissing your feelings as "just preg hormones" isn't helpful. Sweetie, you've come through dark times before, you know you can again. One day at a time, or if that's too much to contemplate, one hour at a time. Wolfy strength vibes on their way to you.:o

Monnagran how's your ankle today ? Has it gone down any? Mine swell up in the heat, too, but as others said yesterday, don't take any chances, ok?:o

Ted's been bathed; he's so good, doesn't struggle or play up.:A It's the last time we'll have to do that though, at least for this visit.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Loulou - defo call Samaritans to get someone to talk to.
Have you suffered from post natal depression before? If so does your midwife know? It's very very important she and your GP realise how bad you are feeling.
What is on your mind hun? Was this pregnancy not planned or are you worried about the expense? There are lots of charities who can help you. Do you have a Home Start near you? They can send someone to visit you regularly and help you cope around the house and with other kids if you have any.
Make sure you DH seeks help - you don't need to worry about him on top of your problems.
Please keep posting either here on on the Health or Families board - you will find support here.
    Big hugs to you xx

    Good afternoon everyone :hello:

I LOVED the Opening Ceremony, but like Butterfly Brain choked up at the sight of Mohammed Ali being helped to stand. Oh and then when Steve Redgrave took the flame from David Beckham... that made me blub a bit... passing it on to the next generation was incredibly poignant too. I agree that possibly some of it was so British that others may not get it, but having some Canadian relatives they love the British sense of humour so maybe they will "get it"!

So, we stayed up for that then my friend wanted driving to the station at 6am (35 mins away) to get the train down to London. She offered to get a taxi, but unless you've booked one a few days in advance then you don't really stand a chance of getting one for a 6am start (round here, anyway). I don't mind doing the driving as she's a very good friend and would do the same for DH and I. However, on my return I did go back to bed! :) DH is currently "checking his eyelids for pinholes" whilst "watching" the cycling road race; you can guarantee that if I tried to change the channel then he'd wake up and complain!

Yesterday I managed a marathon ironing session, but it never ends does it? I've currently got sheets in the WM, which will need drying and then ironing. Happy days!

Have a good day everyone. Enjoy watching the Olympics!

Lou - so sorry you're feeling so down again, and that there seems to be no-one to talk to. Please go and talk to your doctor again on Monday - he/she must know your history of depression. Suggestions of Samaritans might be worth trying?? Sending you all the virtual support in the world.

Loved most of the opening ceremony last night - and thought the cauldron lighting was brilliant! DGD stayed up for part of it and then slept in this morning!
Washing dry on line again. Actually needed to water the beans and tomatoes this morning - not been necessary for weeks!
Just done a quick finance check. Need to be really careful for the next week - most of our DDs/SOs are due out, and DH's pension won't be in until the w/e. At least all my CC debt is now on 0% for next 18months!

Enjoy the rest of the w/e folks and take care.

    Think twice before spending anything!

    Afternoon All,

(((Lou))) hope you feel better soon

Had a nice day. Started off with a chat with my two gorgeous boys in Australia on Skype and then gave the house a good once over.
Finally got round to making soup which was delish and then did my 40 mins walk.
Just cooking tea, chicken rice and salad. Really enjoying the WW diet at the mo and feeling very positive about getting to goal for the wedding. Weigh in on Tuesday so fingers crossed for another loss.
Managed to dry one lot of washing but the second lot got poured on so will probably stick it in the dryer.
Another one who loved the opening ceremony and watched most of it with a big lump in my throat. Getting to be a right softie in my old age.
Have enjoyed the cycling and archery today and looking forward to the swimming this evening.:D I love sport.
Just got round to reading 50 shades of Grey, about half way through the first book. Let's just say DH is very pleased and reaping the rewards :rotfl::o
    Have a good evening all J x

Loved the Corgies in the opening ceremony.
Lou - thinking of you x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
