Keep us posted as to how you get on0 -
oh and if you are going to sell it on ebay...
DO NOT OPEN THE FACTORY SEAL ON THE BOX!!!!!
as this will affect the sale price
BNIB (Brand New In Box) if far more desirable that new0 -
if it comes to the crunch, you could switch to 3, who are offering 500 mins and a phone for £15 a month, (18 month contract) plus i think you get £100 cashback if you go through QUIDCO.0

Jemma, everyone.....
It's worth ringing them (O2) back to get a better deal, but ring from work if you can to avoid 08xx charges. :A
Last month I got offered the same as you - 200 offpeak mins and 500 texts for £25, and £100 off the deal if I didn't have a new phone. "No deal, I wanna go on PAYG" (I didn't really).
Next it was a choice of the deal above or 500 texts with 100 free anytime/anynetwork minutes. "No deal, I wanna go on PAYG"
Final offer was the deal above but they'd reduce the £25 to £15 per month. Now then, 100 anytime mins and 500 texts is more than enough for me, meaning that I get charged a total of £180 (12x15) over the contract. Take off the £100 credit for not having a new phone, and I won't pay them a penny until September, and only £80 in total for the contract as a whole from Feb 2006 to Feb 2007. Deal!
Play the game - they are playing it with you.... and I dare say better negotiators than me will have got a better deal than that.
Good luck!

Thanks all!
KevinM.. why do you not rate o2?
It's purely a personal reason.
I used to be with O2 a few years back, and decided to leave as I got offered a great deal with T-Mobile.
I asked for my PAC code so I could transfer my number, and gave it to T-Mobile.
They transfered my number to my T-Mobile account, but this cancelled my O2 account when it did this.
Unfortunately it did this 364 days into my 12 month contract (yes, 1 day early), and O2 billed me £30 for an early contract cancellation.
They woouldn't budge and threaten to get debt collectors in meaning it would go on my credit record if I didn't pay up.
I paid up in the end, but from that point I vowed never to use O2 again.
The actual usage of my O2 mobile, the calls, texts etc were fine though.
Anyway, good luck with whatever you decide.
Cheers,
Kevin.0
