There is, but most job centres don't ask. Really depends on the area your living in. High employment areas don't ask the question when signing on.0 -

They probably should have done but even if they didn't advise you or get you to sign anything they may well still claim that they had given you a verbal warning.

There is actually quite a high risk of the OP being sanctioned by the Job Centre if she cannot provide just cause and evidence of a good reason as to why she resigned from her post, I'm not 100% certain, but it could be up to 26 weeks (I'm sure someone more knowledable on the Forum will be able to confirm the timescales), it will come down to the decision maker at the Job Centre.
OP, are you in a union? and what is the current state of play with your employees? because if you are in a union, it would be of great support to you if they sat in on your next meeting, and they might be able to negotiate a good reference for you (if it should come to that), or just to guide you through the process of what is likely to happen next, and the best way to handle matters as they arise, as you really do need to prepare for what you're going to do next.

In 2010 I had to sign on twice at two different jobcentres at seperate times that year. I said my previous employer had let me go. If checks were done they confirmed my version of events as I was successful both times.

Sorry, but the only time I can sit with someone is to show them how to use a system / carry out a process: I can't sit next to them to check their typing is accurate! A spell checker would not help much: many of the spelling mistakes are confusions between valid words, eg I think that you breach a contract rather than breech it (although I realise I might be out of date here!)You have confirmed that you are making silly mistakes. That's a good question ... if I had someone from an agency who could produce a letter accurately I'd have told the agency not to send them back!Prior to that you worked for this company through an agency. but better yet, try really hard to get another job first!I know jobs are hard to come by in this economy but for the sake of your confidence and self esteem leave this job and sign on while looking for work.
Another suggestion is to set up templates or boiler plate paragraphs, get them 100% right, and then there will be less to get wrong. Plus it should save time. If you don't know how to do this, read the help menus in Word and work it out, impress them! "Mr boss, I have been thinking about ways in which I could improve my accuracy. If we had standard paragraphs which you had approved I could build quotes and order confirmations much more efficiently, just adding in the personal details. Could we try this and see if it helps? Then I would have more time for xxx"
Mind you, you still have to very accurate with names and addresses. I once retrieved a letter from the franking area which started "Dear Lemon" rather than "Dear Mr Lemon". :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Oh, and Form Fields is another way of doing it: we had some standard letters at one place where I used to work where when you opened the document, you had to fill in thing like name and address of recipient, their a/c no, and who the letter was from, and the letter just filled in all the blanks with those details. Then you could add any extra notes, if there were any.
If you don't know how to do these things, it could be well worth learning.Signature removed for peace of mind0
