Chocolate has a best before date on it, not a use by date. So you should be fine using it now (we still have plenty of choc left over from Easter, and Christmas, and it will still be eaten at some point!!!) you will see if its gone manky at all!!0

If it has been kept somewhere cool and dark it should be fine-might have a bit of lighter brown blush on it if it has lost its freshness but that is easy to spotI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

A certain well know chocolate company, sell chocolate which is at least a yr out of date in their shops, so would be surprised if its not fit for consumption. I`ve ate plenty of it & I`ve not had any ill effects,apart from needing to lose weight.:eek: :rotfl:0

I don't believe old chocolate is hazardous, but don't count on it tasting nice either. It can loose the flavour and become kind of waxy.0

I recently used lindt bunnies from last easter. i mean easter 2007 that were hiding at the back of the fridge!!!
Absolutely fine, so you have no worries. the gold coins from xmas will be the next to go here!!!!!

I'd go for it. I'm surprised that this years eggs were only dated for April this year. I found easter eggs in my garage that BF had hidden from me as I was dieting at Easter (I always am!). Happy days!0
