if it is genuine Parma ham then it will be fine, as whatatwit pointed out, they hang for at least year before you even get them
If not genuine Parma, ie some "value" look alike then be waryEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
i have just found an unopened pack of parma ham in the back of the fridge.
its use by date is 3nd of jan, what do you think,
i know 10days is a lot but i thought with it being cured it might be ok?
i wouldnt eat it raw but what do you think about cooked.
thanks
Last week I had the same problem .... had a packet of unopened parma ham that was .....a month out of date ..... I opened it, sniffed it and it was fine, so we ate it in sandwhiches... didn't bother to cook it. absolutely lovely. If in doubt .... cook it and enjoy it, it will be fine but don't throw it away.... what a waste.

If it's not left the fridge of its own accord - it should be fine!

In Italy the cured pork legs of ham are hung from the ceiling and stay there for ages, even one year! The meat is cured, salted and in some cases smoked and that preserves it.
If the packet was in the fridge and unopened you should be ok!
