The software will not partition. The problem is with mbr slots.Windows operating system 7 uses two partitions. One is a small boot 100mb.
I had to delete the recovery partition and delete windows OS. I then partitioned my hard drive and installed windows 7 from the operating system disk.I installed all drivers etc from the support disk. You get two disks.I even phoned Median support and they said i could not do it but i endured and did everything manually and it works.

Does that mean that Trucrypt would not be able to partition an encrypted section on the drive?
    It will not.

If a second drive was installed would this accept Truecrypt?

Was referring to post 22petrexx says you cannot partition the drive, I thought this was what Trucrypt did when you use it.

No truecrypt will encrypt either a container (ie a file which you can then use as a disk) or will format and encrypt a drive or a partition. As far as his assertion that you cannot partition the said pc drive , well, that's a boad of lollocks
Edited In his defence mind you he may have referred to Truecrypt not being able to partition

This is complex matter when there are no free Master boot record slots. No partitioning software will work under these circumstances.Get your facts right.

I did get my facts right, you said

I had to delete the recovery partition and delete windows OS.
That is 3 so if you then set partition 4 to an extended partition you can have many more logical partitions within that one...I have 11 on a netbook and have not had to delete the Windows partition , just had to resize them
