For the memory upgrade you'll need to find out the motherboard model, but as it has USB3, and as most modern motherboard now at minimum goto 8gb that shouldnt be a problem.

HDMI website doesnt say, you would need to read the box or ask to view the actual unit, they should have one on display, most would fit using a standard VGA cable. most lcd tv's have these connections.
if the CPU is a quad core AMD Bulldozer these can be overclocked as they are unlocked for such a purpose. I havent done it with mine though
VGA to VGA cost dependant on length.

Almost Thursday, can anyone think of a good reason not to buy this PC, no negative comments made so far, this is unusual.

Only negative I'd put would be the operating system being OEM and not retail, but you can't really argue that when it has 3 years warranty since you can return it anyway

It's definately a good PC, my computer uses 4GB Corsair RAM coupled with an AMD X4 640 CPU and it's still fast as hell for webbrowsing and video editing, that CPU is almost twice as fast as mine in terms of CPU scoring so you can't say no to that.

AMD can't really match Intel in terms of performance but they will always win in performance per £

I've only ever had 1 intel system, I choose AMD because they're good value and give good performance for the price

If you are going to buy one of these computers get to Aldi before they open. The Medion computer I am using was bought from Aldi 3 years ago and has had no problems with it but they only had 4 for sale at that time.

I have had the Medion Akoya P5315 D. for 18 months now.Its quite good.Horrible cheap looking blue neon lights on front which you cant turn off.Don't buy it if you want to partition the hard drive to use separate operating systems,as its nearly impossible to do.It took me 2 days to sort it but of course you may be a techie.

Or may have access to one of the many free Partition Rearrangers which can do this very thing on any PC or laptop you care to name in little more than half an hour. See EaseUS Partition Master, for example.

Does that mean that Trucrypt would not be able to partition an encrypted section on the drive?

Aldi have generally had great offers for laptops/computers. Medion are a good make. They also have extra features (usually) that are really useful or different from the standard extras you get from dixons etc
