    Interestingly my company has a policy on company vehicles to exclude all Japanese and Korean makes, so obviously no Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Kia etc. Also Alfa Romeo, but I can understand that.

    Personally, I had a Nissan Qashqai from new for a couple of years which was ok, but it steamed up something chronic. Mechanically it was fine though.

    Before that an old L reg import Toyota Celica 2.0l GT which was my favourite ever car in the entire world. It was awesome. Had a new CV boot and wheel bearing just after I bought it, but other than that was utterly bombproof.
