My meal plan is going to be a bit skimpy this week as I didn't get some of my wages I was expecting (see rant on the daily thread)

No roast for us this week as I don't have any left in the freezer

    Sunday Spag Bol with salad
    Monday Sausage & Mash
    Tuesday Chicken Casserole
    Wednesday Lasagne & salad
    Thursday Sausage Egg & Chips
    Friday Chicken Curry
    Saturday Sausage Casserole

Lol, can you tell, all I've got in my freezer is minced beef, sausages & 3 pieces of chicken!!

Hi everyone, just been trawling through what we have in, more than I thought actually. Don't need anything but veg/fruit and spuds which is delivered Thursday for main meals.

Well will do the usual, this is my main meals lists, no specific day order as that doesn't work for me, tend to decide what having day before depending on time etc, got loads of cereals in for brekkie and there is bread for toast etc. Fruit and veg is whatevers in and needs using first. Lunches soups, sandwiches, baked potatoes etc for us, kids on packed lunches this week. Some things kids will have with us but there are alternatives for them

    Roast chicken dinner
Left over chicken in chinese curry sauce with rice
    Lasagne & garlic bread
Chilli with chips or baked potatoes
    Omlettes
Pork chops with something, never cooked them before so don't know yet
Chicken kebabs with pitas and potato wedges (possibly quorn pieces for me as maybe only enough chicken for others)
One day I might be more organised...........

I'm trying to do some serious meal planning as I'm always buying food even though there is plenty in the freezer and cupboards.

Today - Roast Chicken, roast potatoes (must get the goose fat out of the freezer), veg and gravy.
Chocolate Fudge Pudding and cream (leftover from yesterday - I serve it in ramekins, that way I can get 10 servings and we don't feel stuffed)

Lunch was leftover sausage and lentil casserole made into soup with the addition of ham stock. Served with hm foccacia.

Monday - Chicken pie and veg

Tuesday- egg and chips with sweetcorn oops a bit yellow, maybe have peas/broccoli too. Dd will have bacon or beans instead of egg.

Wednesday- Kids eat early as they have judo so they're having frankfurters and beans with crusty bread. OH and I will have leftover keema curry and rice from the freezer later.

Thursday- Was going to be Spag Bol but I haven't got enough spag so rather than buying more I'll use pasta shells of which I have an abundance and make it into a pasta bake with cheese sauce. Meat sauce is from the freezer.

Friday- OH at a 'do', so just me and kids - cod with breadcrumb topping and potatoes cubed and tossed in olive oil, garlic and rosemary and baked (posh chips), veg

Saturday- Parmesan chicken (thighs), cream gravy, mash or posh chips again, green salad
    Ice cream and chocolate sauce

Sunday - Beef provencal (beef stew with olives and tomatoes), baked spuds, veg
    fruit crumble or treacle tart

    Here is mine:

    - Cheesy leek, brocolli and bacon bake topped with potatoes
    - Chilli, with rice and salad
    - Cottage Pie
    - Spanish Omelette, with salad
    - Creamy chicken and potato casserloe, with rice
    - Peppers stuffed with King Prawns in a wine and cream sauce, with rice

I figure we'll have leftovers at least once, so have only planned 6 meals. If not, it'll be beans on toast!
We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment
