Hi Guys!
Thought Id get started early this week and maybe we can get loads of people mealplanning next week. With Easter holidays on the way:eek:    ...pennies will be short and maybe if we pull a few meals out of our magic hat:D we can buy a few treats (or make OS) through the holidays
Mealplans are dead easy to do. Make an inventory of all food we have in cupboards/fridge/freezer...then plan 7 days of meals;) ...then we only need to buy bare essentials and spend the money elsewhere:D
Here's mine for this week:
Saturday: Buffet
Sunday: At friends for roast
Monday: Lamb Stew & dumplings
Tuesday: HM Fishpie & veg
Wednesday: Steak & Chips
Thursday:Shepherds Pie & Veg
Friday: Away
I will be away next friday for a week, so if someone else can start the thread...that would be great!
Have a good week.

Hi PP! Just been planning for next week, and realised that I didn't post last week's plan. Here's last weeks
Friday – chicken fajitas, with HM piadines
Saturday – minestrone, seedy bread, cheese
We have people over for supper and are having HM blinis, with smoked salmon and crème fraiche; beef in red wine with horseradish mash, onion marmalade, roasted roots, sprouts; lemon meringue pie, HM chocolate truffles
Sunday – Gingham’s Gallette au chou
Monday – beef curry
Tuesday – veg hotpot with dumplings
Wednesday – spag bol
Thursday – HM burgers, wedges, salad
The Small Penguins are off to friends' houses before tonight's school disco, so DH has bought us some steak, which we'll have with potato wedges and salad. There might be ice cream in the freezer, too.
I'll post this week's once I've finished it.

Hi everyone!
I'm a long time lurker but have decided to join in the fun. I have been meal-planning for the last couple of months and I can't believe how much we have saved!
Next Thursday we're taking our first delivery of a fortnightly meat box - with the idea of eating less meat but of better quality. We're 2 adults, one teenager and another teen about twice a week. Here goes...
Sunday
roast beef, pots, broccoli, parsnip and carrots
Monday
beef stroganoff with mushrooms and rice
Tuesday
Fish pie with broccoli and carrots
Wednesday
Leek and mushroom pasta with garlic bread and salad
Thursday
Morrocan chicken casserole with chickpeas and rice
Friday
venison & pheasant sausages with potato and leek creamy bake
Saturday
Spaghetti marinara with salad
Lunches are usually sandwiches and soups. Breakfasts are cereal, porridge, toast, fruit.
A big thank you to everyone who posts here - I've been really inspired and hope I can help inspire someone else too!

Sunday - something with roast potatoes, veg and yorkshire puds (need to buy the "something" though!)
Monday - pasta with vegetable and tomato sauce (always pasta on Mondays, go food shopping on way home from work so pasta is probably quickest option)
Tuesday - veg stew and dumplings (or possibly stew with meat if anything is on offer when I shop!)
Wednesday - toad in the hole, mash and veg
Thursday - corned beef hash and veggies
Friday - veggie shepherds pie
Saturday - meatloaf, potatoes and vegOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T
CC: £6412.95 (0% APR until Feb 2015 which I'm hoping is also my DFD!)
Currently awaiting the outcome of a PPI claim which may bring forward my DFD, fingers and toes crossed!0 -

I've been mealplanning for a couple of years, before I discovered the joys of OS - mainly because I'm so disorganised my family wouldn't eat if I didn't! I've found the OS board a great help with finding new meal ideas, so like Seamonkey I thought I'd take the plunge.
Saturday: Beef stew & dumplings
Sunday: Roast chicken
Monday: Spag Bol
Tuesday: Salmon (from Lidl!) & noodle stir fry with streamed green beans
Wednesday: Chicken & bacon pasta
Thursday: Sausage mash & peas
Friday: HM chicken curry0 -
ell, apologies for not joining in before, always have them, but never get round to posting. The kids are away this weekend, so no meals planned until Monday, I have reserves in the freezer just for me.
Monday: HM Soya Roast/Roast Lamb, Tatties, Yorkies, selection of veg
Tuesday: Tuna Rissotto
Wednesday: Soya/Nut & Meatballs w Tomato Sauce & Spaghetti
Thursday: Green Lentil Shepherds Pie, Cabbage & Carrots (Plus supper)
Friday: Meat/Veg Sausages, Potato Bake, Broccoli
Saturday: HM Pizza, Salad, Chips (Onion Rings?)
Sunday: HM Nut Roast/Roast Beef, all the usual
As you've probably gathered, I have 2 veggies, 2 meat eaters and I'll eat whatever. I am lucky though, the veggies eat fish, and the meateaters eat alot of veggie stuff, so not as complicated as it sounds. Thursdays is our busy night, so a small tea, plus a supper: usually rolls and cakes made to use up the oven space.
Oppps! Forgot to mention breakfasts!!!! Porridge, cold cereals (Cheerios, Weetabix, Bran Flakes), Eggs or Yoghurt and Fruit
Lunch: during the week for me are leftovers, weekends, soup, rolls etcNew Mantra: I must not visit MSE until after I've completed all my chores!!!!!0 -
