Cossta lot coffee at service stations....how? why?
Why would you pay £2.39 for a cinnamon swirl or a choc square when you can go over the way and get 4 apple and cinnamon buns for £1.59 at M&S?
Oh and while I'm at it...I don't want a bottle of extortionate water either!

....and in other news it appears their mortgage has fallen through but it hasn't stopped the agent putting a sold sign up on the front garden. What a complete and utter bunch of muppets.

Thanks Knit Witch. That is reassuring.
Do think the agents are CRAP putting up sold signs when they are just under offer.

    So hello peepsies :T

    How are things with you?
I'm feeling a little stressed but as ever plodding on. The good thing about not living in a house is that very very little dust is created for tidying up.

Came up on Friday morning, not Thursday night as I was tired. Had to buy a costa coffee (as you will have seen) on the way up as unfortunately I had managed to torpedo my insulated mug when braking hard with a bottle of wine on the passenger seat. For a minute I thought the wine bottle had broken :eek:
but no just my lovely mug! Will need to get another one after pay day preferably that can withstand bad driving and stockpiling of alcohol!!

Am making Kirsty Allsop messenger bags for Christmas. Have to go for a dig in the garage for the material but can't find the instructions which I printed off  . That will be another thing to dig for this week, alongside the estate agents contract that I still haven't found!:mad:

Came back to an agents sign on Friday that said 'Sold'. In the last conversation I had with the agent he said 'I will continue marketing the property while we check out the mortgage etc.' Yeah right.

Lets look at that word 'sold'.
Give or hand over (something) in exchange for money.

    What about the word 'available'.
present or ready for immediate use, obtainable.

Before you lot at the back nod off at the back, continue engraving 'Debs 4 Ollie' in the desk or think 'Bl**dy hell I thought I'd got away from english (scottish) grammar 20/30/40* years ago, this is more a rehearsal of my arguments than me lecturing you.

Cos I think the house is still available and I sure as hell haven't seen any money, and I would like other people to also think the house is still available incase they see it and think it is nice. Think I am going to have to have a word with the neighbour so she can report back on the status of the sign for me!!!! Agent clearly cannot be trusted! Life is fraught is it not.

    So have come home;
    cut the grass,
    cleaned the top floor.

Going to do a bit of gardening this afternoon and then go over to see my friend by the sea. Was going to go for a run but the sports bra sits exactly where my stitches are from the removal of the alien so we will leave that for the moment.

Did see my friend on Friday :)
Haven't seen her for about 3 years (has been a good friend since we were 11). We had a bit of a falling out a few years ago not helped by the bloke she is seeing making some fairly unpleasant comments to me when she wasn't in the room. Anyway it was good, made me happy and she sounds like she may have met someone else. :T I've just told her to trust her instincts because we're only here once. Can't really say any more.

    Right gardening calling!!!

Well... have spent the day trying to print things off and failing (having said that the printer was annoying A LOT of people!)

Now have come to pick up a book at the library and they can't find it!!!! And I think this is the night they are open late that I can make!! Anyway she isn't going to charge me for the reservation when they find it.

Going home to use my stale bread and 3 onions - french onion soup and I think we are going to lift the sherman tank of a tv into place. Wonder if we should see if the crane from the Shard is available.

As ever the day after travelling back down...I am feeling tired.

    Hope you are all okay.

The news is the house sale is continuing
Joint mortgage failed but mortgage by husband only has gone through. I have to post the 'sold' section back up for a neighbour to attach as this was agreed between the agent and the buyer ?!!!!!!! Something about not marketing it, which in my book is not the same as telling everyone it is sold. But hey I will play along...anything for a quiet life.

Have realised the documentation relating to the extended balcony - planning permission and building regs is up there not down here so will have to send the paperwork off with that pending.

Looking forward to a social life and a reduction in debt and in the longer term maybe a house down here. My plan is to pay enough to enable me to buy a flat with a sea view later in life, that means about £120k which is doable.
