Have decided against the allotment. Just haven't got enough time! Instead I'll do some herbs in pots and put some raised beds in the garden next year.

Have booked 3 nights in Belfast next month for £125 and a night at Bushmills (Giant's Causeway) for £25. Have to book a night in Portstewart today and my overall budget for the lot is £230. I don't seem to make any financial decisions these days without this site.

Was feeling a bit smug and pleased with myself until I just realised just now that I've left the heating on!

Is that 'useful ' or 'useful as a procrastination strategy'? :rotfl:

Haha skinty - I like your style! I went to London a few weeks ago as a treat before I started the real slog for my dissertation - I visited the British Library in the hope that some of the clever studious vibes would wash off on me!!! They didn't - but I did enjoy a good night out in Camden!!

I think you have made the right decision about the allotment Butti - especially with your social life now in full swing!!! You can grow a lot in pots! Ireland sounds lovely!!

Wot a pair of procrastinators! !!

I love Ireland Judi, particularly Belfast. I think it's my favourite city but the drinking culture is quite strong so I do think I'd be an alcoholic if I lived there!

Oh I know Butti -I am an expert - I have been doing with much success for years!!!! In fact I could give lessons! I need to get my self into gear! But maybe not today!

I have only ever been to Dublin and would like to go to Belfast as my Gran came from there to Scotland when she was a child - I am sure I could force my self to sample the culture (dinking included!) I hope you have a great time!!!

You know when you book accommodation based on it's ratings and it's price :D
and then read the reviews

I believe this may turn out to be what is known as a false economy!

Maybe I can use the saving on beer.

Successful day....have completed my construction card test and passed :j:j:j:j:j:j:j (Huge sigh of relief!) This means I may continue visiting building sites, which as you know is one of my 'favourite' pastimes :rotfl:

Right off home to do a bit more work and then it's Friday evening

Tomorrow going to a lovely town in the Pennines with some friends. Not sure about the weather, may pack a mac.:T (and take some sarnies to save money.)
