    Debts first as I have paid £100 off M&S to celebrate PAY DAY

    CDL £10,000 = £5,101 still
    M&S £ 1,188 £ 190 - 100 = £ 90
    MBNA £ 3,450 £3,376 - 30 = £3,346

    So in total = £8,537

    Have also paid £600 into savings as I have no idea how much will have to be paid out on Council Tax/ Broadband/ Gas/ Electric before 15th January.

    After that I went Christmas shopping :eek:
    and bought myself a pair of black boots :eek::eek::eek:

    [STRIKE]and bought myself a pair of black boots[/STRIKE] tried on a pair of black boots and then talked myself out of buying them aided and abetted by some truly crap customer care in the shoe shop......'would I like to try the brown ones on [as we clearly can't get our act together] and we can order them in black'

    No thanks, I think I'll wait for the sale ;)

    TBH I do have black shoes, black ankle boots, black shoes with a heel and black woolly boots. It's not exactly essential.

    Have spent about £100 on relies pressies - even the ones turfing me out! Now going home to line them up and count. I think I've done enough.

    Tomorrow I will assess house insurance quotes to measure them up against the bank.

    I also still haven't assessed the life assurance - Do struggle to get really excited about it :rotfl:

    Still haven't had my tax refund - have written to them demanding it (and stomping my wee feet!):mad:

    But have made lunch for the next three days and am having Jack's tea, chickpea and banana curry tonight. So something is looking frugal.

    It depends on why you took out the assurance in the first place. Was it to pay someone to look after him, or was it to pay off the mortgage so he'd have somewhere to live - or what?

    If you have no dependants then ditching it makes complete sense.

    I will pay £213 this month Beanie then they will add £206 interest so the debt will reduce by £7 by Christmas.:D
