    Have proven today that if you spend enough time with a sneezing boss and coughing colleagues even chilli and ginger won't protect you.:(

    Thank you all for your kind wishes.

    Well.....I've started so I'll finish......shovelling money out of the door that is! Hope the solicitor remembers not to spend it on a once in a lifetime holiday!:eek::eek::eek:

    Trip to the bank today.....yes I know most of you who agree with my work colleagues that I'm having an affair with the bank manager.....think I already visit quite a lot.

    Bank visits these days seem to resemble sycophancy of the first degree and hard selling like their lives depend on it. So I now have an Advance bank account at no extra cost to me, an ISA, savings, a mortgage and house insurance all with the bank. What is that expression about all your eggs?

    Did I know the bank are also doing brilliant deals on car loans and would I like to come and see them in January after I've bought my house?

    There's a word for that beginning in N and ending in O.

    Is that the end of the money making cash cow formally known as Butti?

    No, of course not........Why haven't you got a credit card with us? You could apply for a credit card with us you know? It's telling me you'd probably be approved....don't want to try? Why not?

    Because you made me close my credit card account in order to get a mortgage. Wow these people have short memories....Is the bl**dy computer not telling them they have short memories?

    Trying to decide what to have for tea that will sooth my throat and is nutritious.......yes, maybe don't answer that. Do you think ginger will go with lentil and veg soup?

    I've got a curry with peppers, ginger and garlic pilau rice. Hopefully it will drive my cold away (along with anyone who wants to talk to me tomorrow!)

    Do you get your house before me then? I'm 9th January.

    That's OK - a holiday implies they're coming back...

    Colleague today has been saying I can smell garlic.....can you not smell garlic? I suspect I am sweating it but I can't smell it.

    Last nights food was great. I did a lentil and veg soup;

    2 carrots,
    2 sticks celery
    1 big pour of red lentils
    1 stock cube - veg, and water
    1 onion or leek

    and added garlic pilau rice from the curry meal and about 2 inches of ginger.

    Tasted great....comforting but with a real kick to it.

    Glad you've got a date Skinty.....glad it's after me too. All that waiting and I'm SO COMPETITIVE AND PETTY I really couldn't bear the thought of you getting in before me!:rotfl::rotfl:

    Paid my 10% yesterday :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
    However....it did reach the solicitors account and he is still in the country so pretty good really.

    Also had a look at pay packet for next Monday and my pay increase is in :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j as is the tax increase :eek::eek::eek::eek: NI increase :eek::eek::eek::eek: and Pension increase :eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Still I'm ahead....and just in time to prepare for removals, utility set up costs, broadband set up costs, solicitors bills..........

    Lets revise that Christmas to a bag of tangerines and some walnuts :D

    Wish me luck for tomorrow. I'm going to the opening of a scheme outside on top of a hill in the middle of the country and I've still got a cold!. What happened to the good ole days when you used to wear a hat for these events!!!
