Well...I used to have two ways of keeping myself up
1. Running on a beach
Rather you than me. Every time I ever did anything more than a walking pace on a beach, I'd go no faster but moved lots of sand.2. Riding a motorbike
And I hope you're one of those safe riders. Not the four (in 3 separate groups) I almost killed on a trip to the Lake District last year.Actually there's a third
3. Spending money:(
:grouphug:Really feeling quite tired, overworked, underpaid and it's January.
Yep - it's a bad month.I'm torn between throwing everything at debts and having a life. Finding the balance a bit difficult
It is difficult. Finding an extreme is easy. Finding an optimum between two (or more) extremes is so hard there's whole areas of study devoted to it.(and then there's those awkward folk having a go at my choice of porridge!!!:rotfl:)
I didn't! :A
But I was a bit aghast when I thought you'd spent £28 on kippers... :rotfl:
I'm trying to have things to look forward to each month to get me through.
:beer:So on 25th I go home oop North and will try to fit in a run on the beach, probably on the Sunday. That should temper the pub crawl in a little coastal town on Saturday and prepare me for a pub celebration on Sunday. Will see a lot of people I haven't seen for a while.
:beer:...and next week once I've been paid I book my flight to Munich for a meet up with friends in April.
:beer::beer::beer:That's the plan anyway.
This weekend I'm trying out Jack's parsnip and kipper risotto so that should make the weekend go with a bang!!! (Thank god they've banned smoking inside!)
There are still other sources. It is rubbish running in the wind and rain but does make you feel very alive:D

Well isn't life sometimes quite [STRIKE]interesting [/STRIKE]depressing?
Just been to see mortgage man two.
So I've sold a house for £101k in November and currently based on what the lenders will lend me I can get a mortgage together (with deposit) for £85k. Oh joy.
...and I'm looking at ones for £100-130k :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Disposable income seems to be the issue so I think we probably need to throw everything possible at the HSBC debt (£3500 at 18%) and very little at anything else.
Feeling even flatter than a flat thing that has been steamrollered.
Well I guess it focuses the mind.
1. Pay off main cards
2. Get pay increase!

at 18% on that card can you not use savings etc ? i know it aint a great idea as you want to have a buffer there ... but 18% ... sheesh ... there aint a bank account around that i know of that will give you that rate of return on your savings ... then put the money that you were using to pay that off back into the savings ?
sorry it wasnt good news and sorry you may have to house share a wee bit longer than planned ... but you will get there ... i'm glad you also looking at the other side as well ... ie holidays and visiting folks oop norf ... cant all be work and no play0
