Argos Sent Me a PS3 - What to do?

I've noticed better deals than the deal I got with Argos, can I take it back and ask for a refund?

Agreed . I work in an Argos stockroom and there was 10 sitting there when I went into work tonight (Fri) , only sold 1 all night . How I laughed .

I agree in some ways but if the parents had got off thir fat !!!!!! and pre ordered a wii they would have got one and not paid £350 notes for it.

Not true.
Nintendo did not make enough stock to cover the pre orders despite promising retailers that they would allocate stock according to pre sale figures.

Totally agree. How we like to knock people who go out of their way to make an extra few quid. I buy and sell on ebay, and if people dont want to buy then that is up to them (deadstock trainers). If people dont know when Christmas is keep a look out on your calender and it always falls on the 25th of December, and plan ahead and that way you should be able to get all the Christmas presents that you need, and you wont have to rely on us naughty profiteers.

I have now decided to buy a wii for my dd for her birthday, should of ordered one at Christmas but didnt. Now in the position that their are few about except for ebay, but I won't pay over the odds for one. It is my perogative who I buy from and how much I pay, and I dont mind if someone makes a profit from me.


To the OP, best option is to listen to Jasonlvc and to give Argos the chance to pick it up, and if they dont your laughing and you get one legally for free.

Well just to let you know once my parents ordered a wide screen tv and it wasn't the top one for sale about 2 notches down and they sent us the most expensive one. My parents phoned and explained that we didn't order the super expensive one and it must be a mistake by you, we haven't opened it so you can come and collect. They then said thanks for letting us know but we didn't have any of the thing you ordered in stick so we sent you this enjoy!

I ordered PS2 from toys r us xmas before last, they sent it and didnt charge me for it - I had already opened it and was using it expecting them to charge me and kept checking but they didn't! I was happy to pay for it as I had ordered it! They still havnt charged me to this day - I'm sure there's some kind of law that if they don't charge you it's not your fault - I used to work in a shop and if we put something in the bag without scanning it and the customer left the shop it was then theirs and we couldn't ask them for the money?

What would YOU do.
I think I'd see if I could flog it for a profit on ebay - then pay them (Argos) the money! If no profit - tell them (argos)! I couldn't afford (actually - I would refuse to pay £40 a game or so) the games for it myself so would be no use me keeping it!

hi new to the forums, but got a question already relating to this

i ordered a game for xbox the other day..cost £7.99 halo
arrived this morning..but in the packaging wasnt halo it is ridge racer for the ps3..great now ive only been charged 7.99 and the invoice etc all says halo is what i got..
sounds great..but what do you guys reckon i should do..i did actually want halo..and i havnt got a ps3..but this must be worth loads..oo the dilemer
