It's changed to new items today online for delivery tomorrow. Instore still should be the old deals.

Just trying to work out if anything gives a good JTD to make this worthwhile.

The Finish is £9 in S's but you'd only get £10 back per one, so would have to do 5 shops with 8 other items to max it out.

160 x Tetley tea bags seems to be the thing to go for but the price showing at the moment is confusing. It says £4.30 but the flash says 'reduced from £4.47 to £3.00' ??

New items apply as from tomorrow, for 10 days

Ah brilliant! Of course, because I'm looking online, it'd be for delivery tomorrow.

Off out to get the Nescafe jar which will give a nice little JTD compared to Asda as it's £7.49 in T's and £5 in A's.

    I am a little confused?

On one part of the website it says
"Buy one Tetley Tea 160s and save 10p per litre"

    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/ProductBuylist/default.aspx?id=L00006433&icid=Petrol50poff_Nav_All

Then here it says buy two for £6 and get a 10p off coupon?

So is it 1 or 2 packets of tetleys teabags you need to buy?

And on this page it mentions both buy one and buy 2.

I can't believe Tesco could be that stupid. 1 pack @ £3.00 would mean you'd only need 30 litres of fuel & the tea bags would be effectively free.

The previous offer was no good to me as you needed 50 litres or more to make it worthwhile, but for just 30 litres I expect most people could benefit. In which case I doubt there'll be many tea bags left on the shelf by tomorrow afternoon.

So someone with a big tank could spend £15 & get £50 off. Even if you do have to get 2 packs that's still a potential £50 off with a £30 spend.

I went to Tescos yesterday and bought 3 x coffee, 2 x squash, 3 x ketchup, 1 x mayo, and a few other staples that I knew would be almost identical in price when it came to comparison.

Total spend in Tesco - approx £42.00, but I had a £5 coupon, so it brought it down to £37.00.

Five petrol coupons spent on putting 56L in my car - £28 saved.

Price check shows my shopping was £10 cheaper at Sainsburys - £10 voucher now printed.

I now have a cupboard full of squash, coffee, ketchup & mayo, a car full of petrol at 79p per litre and my net spend with Tescos was -£1.00.

    Gotta Love Tescos eh?

    F

You've double counted the fuel discount.

    You either:-

    1. Paid -£1 for all your shopping and got your petrol for £1.29 a litre (although I'd have thought it was 129.9p per litre in actual fact)

    Or

    2. Paid £27 for your shopping and paid £0.89 a litre for your fuel.

It's still a good deal if you use the stuff you buy (I'll easily use 5 packs of gold blend, they were overpriced by £1 each at the most, but I saved £3.50 per pack, making them £4.50 for 300g)

I think the simplest way to look at the saving is to treat the fuel saving as a shopping discount and treat the fuel as full price - i.e method 1.
As T's appear to have slipped 2p a litre on now, you'd have to knock 2p a lite off the "saving".

In terms of the spend £6 on cereal and get the 10p a litre, does anyone know if you spend £12 on cereal would you get 2 x 10p per litre? I was just looking at the Kellogg's variety pack at £2.09 in T's and £1 in Asda, so you could get a JTD of £1.09 per pack.

That's the way it should work, Josie.

Just been into tesco and picked up a good deal.

When you spend £6 on cereal you get 10p OFF PER LITRE OF FUEL.

But Weetabix (Original) is on 2 for £3, so i bought 4 packets (£^) and got 10p per litre off.

Therefore the weetabix cost me less than £1 for 4 boxes
    Bargain
