Thank you for the responses guys.
From what you've all been saying, it's just between the G300 and the Xperia U.
Is the extra £60 worth it for the Xperia U? The screen is smaller and browsing the web on my phone will be a common use for it.September £5 a Day Challenge

If it is indeed going to be £100 from all the networks (big if at the moment) then T Mobile, for instance, currently give a very reasonable £20 cash back (TCB/Quidco) on a £100 PAYG phone. £80 net would be more than a steal for this phone!
Does the cashback depend on you staying with Voda for any length of time?
oops read again and I see you say Tmobile gives the cashback, sorryIts not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama0 -

If you are thinking about buying the Huawei, read these:
Huawei seems to have a known problem, see: http://androidforums.com/huawei-ascend-g300/578926-huawei-ascend-g300-un-requested-wipe.html
Has anyone who has bought it had this experience?

Not experienced that yet ... but then again, I won't be deleting vodafone apps, rooting the phone and using titanium (whatever that is)0

Me ?
It's my first smartphone and I love it, very easy to get to grips with
I got it on 19 July 2012
Not had an unresponsive screen,
Have had "wireless won't connect" - sorted by restarting the phone
Have had "Application not responding" - sorted by force close and restart the app (but all normal pcs/laptops get it at somepoint or other so i don't let it worry me)
Not had it out and about yet as waiting for giff gaff sim card to arrive so it's only used in the house at the moment through Wifi, good job as well as data used so far (since 19 july) is 1.31GB0 -
cool. thanks. i think i will get one too.0
