For the life of me i cannot see what this ad is all about ? do you ?
It `aint funny , it `aint clever and where do they get the idea that shooting a bazooka round at someone is funny ? the mind boggles !
This must be in the catergory of Worst Advert at the awards !!

I get the feeling they are trying to play on the public's hatred for the go compare man and the adverts..and doing what we'd all like to do to him if we had the chance...:whistle:

I hadnt seen the TV ad, but saw one of these and thought that someone had actualy defaced it.

Best thing is, when insurance time comes around, it's not a company I automatically think of using.

But it worked! You started a thread with their company name, it got under your skin. Adverts work in all kinds of ways, there is serious money invested in persuasion - look at the Marmite 'hate' ads, very successful.

However if you drowned the flippin meerkats I wouldn't shed a tear either.

it is tongue in cheek humor and not to everyone's taste, though it did make me laugh........as that song is just so flipping irritating going around in my head! He got up more or less unscathed in the add though somewhat disheveled.

Go compare are running a very good marketing campaign at the moment. The billboards were brilliant. You may not like the advert but obviously you've remembered it, and then posted about on a forum.

The meerkats are on the run!

the problem is that, yes I do know it, but there is no way I will ever go on Go Compare. I'm sure I can't be the only one who feels like that

I can only assume that you sit stony faced when Tom & Jerry/Road Runner/Scooby Doo are blown up/run over/squashed by huge weights, etc, etc - it ain't real you know !
