Morning all
Welcome to frugalgal, honey bear and sketchi
Bonnie - fingers crossed for you!
Gorgeous photo, pigpen.
CY - mine's blocked, too. I may brave it later if my stomach feels up to it. It will be gross.
So the school is finally packed up - everything's either in crates to go to the new school or in sacks in the skips. Very tiring, emotionally as well as physical.I opted for gentle pottering over the weekend to give myself a break, but have to make the most of the four days before DS2 is on holiday, too.
As from now, I'm definitely in. Thank you for the lists, dusty. I'll copy them to a word document as I'll be doing rooms in a different order, but by the end of the week most should be done. I'll have to collect my Approved Food order one day, as we're close enough and I begrudge paying the postage. I may also be able to pop into factory foods on the way.
Not sure about help until Thursday, because DH is working and things are difficult at the moment with DS1. So the plan is:
Mon - Living room as far as I can get before 3pm
Tue - Kitchen or bathroom
Wed - Kitchen or bathroom - whichever one I didnt' do Tue
Thu - clear the top of the cellar steps and organise stuff. Persuade DH to empty shed and DS2's playhouse and sweep/de-web both. Re-organise stuff in both.
Fri - Dining room
I'm unlikely to get each room done completely, but need to make good progress.
Extra:
Collect AF order
Buy shelf for top of cellar steps
Source a piece of cushion flooring for top of cellar steps
Sort new broadband/phone provider as I'm fed up with talktalk
Next month's budget
An hour's planning a day for work
Make contact with distance learning provider for AAT course
Well, at least I won't get bored or have lots of time to mope/worry over DS1.
Have a good week, everyone. Time to stick some music on and get going. :T0 -
A quick message to say 'hi' to any new folk joining this week - I'm still a newbie too! Flying does work! I find the 'half-hour' cleaning, ironing etc really suit me - once I've started a task I'll usually carry on, too.
And - in a quiet voice - 'good luck' to Bonnie - I'll keep everything crossed for you. X0 -
Oh no RT!
I'm the same, my tonsils feel really swollen, and on checking in the mirror they don't look great. Going to leave the Dr though as they don't usually intervene until it's looking like septicaemia...
Been to Mr A, got some soluble aspirin, throat spray and listerine. We'll see if we can keep the germies at bay.
So today, so far we just tidies the toys away, and made the beds. The house is actually very tidy, ready for cleaning. There won't be much mess making as mine are still in nursery, and I don't feel up to eating. So until Thu we should stay on top of things:
Monday - Bathroom andHall/Stairs/Landing
Level one
Clean the sink and toilet
HH clearing the clutter from these areas (not needed!)
Level two
Hoover these areas and wash the floors
Clean bath and or shower
Level three
Wash any winter coats (kiddies have new ones, and I need a new one - its too big hurrah!)
Wipe the tiles and windowledges (did bath and shower room last week, so will just do the sink / loo areas and not all the walls)
My own extras:
Defrost FF. Like, today. As Mr T coming tomorrow aft... Need to move stuff into second freezer, which is almost empty. Then I'll move it all back and turn second freezer off until winter, I think.
Give new shed door a second coat of woodstain. And buy it a shiny new rasp / lock thingy. What are they called?
Have another kids books sort - some of them are far too babyish now, even for my baby!
And welcome to all new flyladies!Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Thanks for the list, I'm in again this week after a bit of a lazy weekend. Hope everyone had a good time over the weekend and is ready for a new week of flying
The weather's gorgeous here though which is making me not want to stay inside
Have loooooads to do, and also need to make sure the spare room's suitable for my little nephew to stay over midweek. Also have a couple of Open University bits due in on Thursday so need to stay motivated with getting things done.
Today's list of doom:
Monday - Bathroom and Hall/Stairs/Landing
Level one
[STRIKE]Clean the sink and toilet[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]HH clearing the clutter from these areas[/STRIKE]
Level two
Hoover these areas and wash the floors - will do this as soon as DH is up (he's been working late, he's not just idle :rotfl:)
[STRIKE]Clean bath and or shower [/STRIKE] - I also need to work out how to repair the shower as DH has managed to break it with his hamfisted ways
Level three
Wash any winter coats - coats are all clean and hung up, but need to go through them and decide which ones to sell / charity shop and do any repairs needed (DH seems to eat buttons)
[STRIKE]Wipe the tiles and window ledges[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]HHI[/STRIKE] - I am DEFINITELY going to do this today - have been hiding from my ironing for much too long and it's now reaching ridiculous proportions
Additional:
- [STRIKE]iCMA 44 due in by Thursday[/STRIKE]
- TMA 05 due in by Thursday
- [STRIKE]Take Ebay parcels to the post office and get them sent[/STRIKE]
- Spare room needs to be made safe for little nephew
- Go through the cupboards and fridge and make a list of useby dates to ensure things get used up rather than wasted
- Exercise each weekday - Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday - Friday
- Start taking pictures / making listings for things to sell on Ebay, we are still far too cluttered and if I can make enough profit selling my tat then I'd like to get rid of my MASSIVE dressing table and replace it with something a little more compact (and matching)
- HH paperwork to sort and file
- Yet ANOTHER letter to send to Capital One - they really are being massive pains atm
- Trip to the bank to close / downgrade dormant account and stop paying fees
- Pester DH to call the insurance company and ask them to reissue a cheque I accidentally put through the wash :rotfl:
- [STRIKE]Get onto the HA as they still need to sort the back garden and there's not a lot I can do about it until they do it - it's a jungle out there! [/STRIKE]
Collect all the laundry, turn socks the right way for washing (or pair clean socks) - First load on, only about a million to go! :rotfl:
Clean a window or two
Wash the outside of the front and back doors
I've been spending some time over on the hoarding thread and think I might be another one who's on the borderline of having an issue with holding on to thingsI seem to have accumulated too many things for my current flat, 2 rooms at my dad's church and my mum's shed. I really need to get on top of things as I've not even seen / sorted most of that stuff for 5 years or so, I dread to think what's in there. Hopefully if I can declutter and get on top of my current place then I can start sorting through the other things afterwards.
Ooops, I've accidentally quoted myself instead of editing, but I cba to type it all out again so this will have to do! Sorry0 -
Morning all i'm back in again this week with some proper flying.
Now Dusty did you have your spies out as i haven't touched the bathroom in 2 weeks and is piggin..:rotfl:

Thanks for the new thread and list. I'm in again this week, I just about managed level 1 last week so its spurred me on.
I'm out of order though, my bedroom was a tip and annoying me so I'm blitzing it this morning, doing well and just stopped for coffee break! When the bedroom day comes up on the thread I'll do the Monday list, my front door area really needs a bit of tlc... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Hi all;
I'm attempting "in" again this week.:o
Welcome new Flyers, and GWS wishes to all the poorlies.:o
Mr LW left home at 06:00 this morning, for the first day of his course; he rang me at 08:48 to say he'd arrived safely - so gods know what time he'll be home tonight! The day finishes at 17:30, and I guess it depends if he gets lost.:D Hopefully tomorrow will be better as he'll have done the route once.:o
Bless him, he worked really hard over the weekend to get the too-heavy-for-me-to-do-any-more tasks done; we do the bathroom in two bits; he takes the bath lift out and does the bath and the tiles that side of the room at the weekend, and I do the loo and sink and the rest of the room on a Wednesday. Sounds weird, I know, but it works for us. Plus of course the daily S&S.;)
Jojo commented late on last week's thread about too-heavy vacuum cleaners; this is the problem I have. We've got a Dyson that Mr LW had before I moved in with him, and it's really far too heavy for me; but there's nothing wrong with it, so I can't really justify replacing it. We do have a little hand-held vacuum also, for spot-cleaning (like the corner of the kitchen when I've been baking) and Mr LW also uses that to vacuum the inside of the car.
Terrier Ted is sprawled out on the sofa, lazy tyke!:D OK for these dogs, isn't it?:rotfl:
As it's Monday, it's Kitchen Day in the Wolf's Lair, so I guess I'd better go and fling some cleaning stuff round the surfaces.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
