Budgie welcome aboard!
Rowan tree you're right, I'll be sorry to see Ted go home - it's I think the 5th time he's stayed here. But we only have one day dogless, and we'll be out that day anyway, since it'll be Lughnassadh and Mr LW has taken a day's leave, then we get Jessie, a 4 year old Lab with arthritic legs, so she can't walk much. It'll be her first time with us, but I'm told she's a real sweetie, and a happy little soul, despite her mobility problems.:o
Mr LW has left Reading and is on his way home;:T
Ted and I have eaten.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

It's still in the 20s here and we're all melting (but not complaining) - not helped by the fact I roasted a chicken for tea (eaten with salads & bread) - we had 5 in the freezer and they take up sooo much room and we needed room for more icecream :rotfl::rotfl: Chicken now stripped and bones simmering for stock and meat in fridge ready to be curried tomorrow (when it should be a bit cooler, I think)
Haven't done today's list - but have spent literally hours on paperwork today, so have knocked other stuff off.
Think tonight will just be a bit off ironing (in the heat!) and not much else.

Evening all sorry not caught up on the thread again. I'm just popping in to check/update list
I decided to tackle the understairs cupboard today...I've had to throw the 2 shelving units that were under there out as they were thick with mould  Also chucked the cardboard storage boxes I had under there as they were soggy  I got another binbag of bits thrown as well. All the shoes are out, DD's got 3 pairs of trainers! Most of my shoes are mouldy so they're going to take some cleaning but it might be nice to wear something other than trainers lol. Just need to find a new home for them now. Hopefully now the cupboard is less packed it won't be as damp.

Littlies in bed.
I did them tea in the back garden tonight, making the most of the good weather. After that I gave them little brooms and they swept the chipped bark back into place. Did quite a good job, actually.
Kitchen is cleaned up and I did the ironing! There wasn't lots in the end, but I did iron some of the damp stuff too, so shouldn't need to get the board out again this week! Put it all away too!
Conservatory tidy and other than a great big wooden train track, the living room is too.
Have done my bit of paperwork, got the printer out and printed an invoice and voucher for CEX. Sold them DHs Xbox and games last week and they have given me £97 voucher so exchanging this for a bluray player and a portable DVD player for the kids to take on holiday.
Just need to rewrite my house jobs master list as DD got into my notebook this morning and tore some pages grr little moo.Bossymoo

Hellooooo
I've been AWOL for a whileworking fulltime - including prearation for TWO Ofsted inspections in three months - there should be a law against that! Thankyou once again to those lovely flyladies who supported me back in January when I took on 'six weeks' work; and here I am seven months later and still employed. :T
But, oh dear, my house:cool: words fail me. Well !!!!!!-heap was how I described it the other day - although a 'cluttered tip' would probably be a fairer assessment
What with work, and the heat, and BD, and money, and the house, and me, and the menopause(?), and appointments that need to be made - not necessarily in that order - I'm overwhelmed.
can i come back onto the flylady wagon pleeeeease? now that ofsted spectres have gone it might be a good time to try.........again:o (is there a limit to how many times you can start again?)
I've got tomorrow off - so i'm away to my bed now, gathering my strength for a fresh start tomorrow.
Hugs spoons and sticks available as required - help yourselves

I don't know if it does that. When doing the front page I type and then highlight and add the colour code. It doesn't show up until after I post it but that might be because the sight in in IE and I use Chrome.
All the beds remade, achieved quite a bit today so will update my list after putting up the list for tomorrow.

I kicked the boys off the PS3 and made them tidy the kitchen/sweep the floor. Dd1 unpacked the shopping I did at lunchrtime and offered to cook dinner. She cooked and I tackled the ironing. We accomplished quite a bit between us.
There was a list of my mistakes/errors on the CF's pad. She was out all morning for an ante-natal appt. She's been told they will induce her in 9 wks time. I listened to my failings and didn't offer comment. I've previously been told I'm too defensive. I bet you all a virtual fiver I'm unemployed at the end of next week. I'm not upset just exasperated with the whole thing.
DH has booked a night away tomorrow for our 19th WA. He's picking me up from work at 2pm. It will go down like a whoopsie in a spacesuit. Seeing as I'm on a losing wicket do I'll tell them when the all go to lunch at 1pm. Hopefully I will be able to do it via note on pad as I seem to be excluded from every other conversation!0 -
 at roundtuit - sounds like we're both in similar situations and I've already re-started loads of times. Welcome back.
The afternoon didn't quite go according to plan. Have to accept that DH is not very good at decluttering, but great at avoiding jobs he doesn't fancy. I asked him to sort through stuff from the cellar shelves and he said it could all go, but to save the tools. I got so fed up with the conversation that I said I'd do it myself. I should have seen it coming, really. Then I got blamed for starting an argument. :rotfl:
Had a nap before doing tea and then DS2 and I went to I**a. Came back with a few bits and pieces (useful but not essential), 2 new frying pans to replace the old non-stick ones that weren't non-stick anymore (got an induction hob and their pans are cheapest) - and no cellar shelving. Apparently they don't do the posts and other bits on their own any longer and the complete pack was out of stock until tomorrow morning. I can't finish the job without the shelf, so I'll have to trail back tomorrow or Saturday.
I've washed my new purchases and put most away, so just chilling now for a bit.
Night all. x0 -
I may get to bed soon.. if I yawn much more I will swallow my own head!
Kitchen is destroyed again.. Squeak smashed a full jar of jam in the middle of the floor and cut her finger trying to pick up the jam so there was blood and jam everywhere.. DS1 picked up the mess while I mopped and dealt with the blood.. OH got her a plaster.. it did bleed heck of a lot for a tiny cut but it was hard to tell what was jam and what was blood!.. anyway she is fine and will survive.
Children all caked out and in bed.
Ebay stuff finished so I'll get that packaged up in the morning and posted.
Beasts off to KH's at the weekend apart from DS3 who can't go because KH can't work out his insulin.. we have had 1 high reading since he started his new stuff.. normally we would have had them all over the place things are looking up and his behaviour has been a bit better too! .. Heres hoping it last and a shame there isn't a magic fix for DD3's hideous behaviour!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
