Back again from docs and have been diagnosed with an infection of the throat! Well, I could have diagnosed that!! However, doc was really nice, on time, very thorough and gave me time to ask questions, even though I wasn't in long, so at least it wasn't an unpleasant visit.

Have got some antibiotics that I can't start for a couple of days as I have to stop some other medication first (statins) as the two are incompatible. I was hoping the bad throat would be gone by then.....

Anyway, back home via Mr A's and got some more milk, yoghurt, veg, fruit and low fat food to keep us going. Have really tried to cut down (to lose a bit of weight for this wedding) and have lost a couple of pounds so far, at least that's two gone! I hope to get back to walking next door's dogs again soon, that should help step up the exercise a bit too.

Haven't done much else, as place still tidy enough and still not well. Got to bring washing in soon, and think OH will do eve meal again (I'll just cough a bit more for sympathy!).

Good vibes to all and Bossymoo, I hope you pick up soon.

Congratulations to Bonnie - that is great news!

And -welcome to tabby kitten - I love your name! My little girlie cat was a tabby kitten, the sweetest little tabby in the whole wide world!!!! I am still a newbie, and this site has helped me so much, its often given me incentive to do things I wouldn't have done, and our place is now much tidier.

    Bye for now,x.

Rowan - glad to hear you have some tabs for your throat - hopefully you'll feel better as soon as you start taking them

Have walked round and delivered the Avon stuff
DR is still a pit and so is the kitchen but its just too hot to do anything, think I'll go for a shower and hopefully I'll have some energy after that

Hope the poorlies are feeling better - I am but it's too hot! I'm a bit wheezy though - LOL spent a month saying I'd had enough rain and now this and I'm STILL not happy. Still managed (with supreme effort I must say, and a fan) to clean the DR. And we sat in there to eat the kebabs

Bonnie I KNOW the Bumpkids are about as old as the Vallikids
(mine are 18; 19 in Sept and 16 (17 in Jan))
Sometimes I wish they were as old as the Bossybabes again.

Dessert BTW was home grown strawberries from my new patch, which despite the awful weather, has been a success. With low fat yoghurt. Well it LOOKS (a bit) like cream.

What I ought to do, right now, is clean the LR - the sun shines in there most of the day which makes vigorous cleaning a challenge...it's now in the shade, cooler and , at the moment, unoccupied apart from the furries.

    Congratulations Bonnie Bumpkins!

Having exhausted myself yesterday I've dusted screens and done a cleaning job that has been irritating me for a while which can be covered by 'dusting fluffy bits'.

I have a collection of vintage dust here, probably quite valuable, if anyone would like it. Better grab it while you can, because it won't be around for much longer if I keep going the way I have over the past few days.
    Better is good enough.

Hi Helen, thanks for your good wishes. I am already better than yesterday - and send get well vibes to all the other poorlies.

Just signing off here as going to have evening meal - mushroom foo-yung and salad, followed by nectarines and creme fraiche - (Valli, Mr T's half-fat creme fraiche is just like cream and would go fab with your strawberries), then a film.

Bye for now and see you tomorrow, x.

Bottle it and flog it on ebay

    seriously!

eg it might be dust which settled during a significant event, Golden Jubilee Dust f'r instance. Add a pinch of glitter...

I just BET it would sell!

Book labels printed for Sept for my friends teaching in Y5. These are school labels; I just do it here for fear of 'losing' the labels if I use the network printer at work. (ie someone's printing/photocopying appearing on them)

Do you reckon if I put 'Buyer collects' it would still sell?
