wow...inspirational thread, I feel humbled, lucky, guilty and amazed that everyone here takes the time to help others.
I'd still be eating toast...xyz down the line without all these ideas...
makes me realise we are a very fortunate country after all, and just as neighbourly, albiet in a different way from old...
thanks, good luck to all.0 -

Passata is cheaper (29p it's an own brand tesco one not value) imo nicer, also you get slightly more.

Thankyou will try, it does it thicken up as I'm a bit weird and like a thick sauce on top of my pasta not a thin one you mix thru xJanuary Grocery Challenge £203.50/£200

it's quite a thick sauce, i find theres alot of liquid in valued tinned tom so it's pretty much the same. i tend to add much to my pasta sauce anyway before i blitz it as i like the added taste of peppers/mushrooms ect but i don't like chunks and i regulary water it down because it's to thick to sink into the pasta.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Hi all - this is really cheeky, but this thread moves far too fast for me and I'm not sure how to do a search within a thread - so can I cheekily ask - I read on here that you could get a tin of peaches and 22p cake mix - can you confirm that I can just use something like a cake tin and I put the peaches in the bottom and then make up the cake mix and just pour on top and bake - is it really that simple? I'm not a great cook but that seems do-able if i remember it right ...0

How do you find it so quickly without having to through pages and pages of stuff - thank you so much by the way x0

Don't forget to add a little water to the peaches to prevent them burning on to the bottom of the dish, if you reserve some of the syrup you can pour it over the sponge while it is still warm, for an extra peachy flavour. It works with any tinned fruit as wellBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
