and why is that any healthier? that having some cereal with MILK and the maybe a wholemeal sandwich is MEAT and a dinner which yes most suggestions had carbs but also had MEAT and VEG, it's all about balance you'll get ill quicker living off eggs that living off a variety and as someone who loves eggs there not filling enough to live off long term, i'd rather be slightly unhealthy than hungry.

We had corned beef hash for dinner today, although it uses 'stuff' from my storecupboard, so no use for this challenge...
A cheap and cheerful meal from the gc (can't remember op) is cheese and potato pie. You mix mashed potato, grated cheese (as much as you have/can afford to use), any other bits you may have, eg herbs/spices, and put it into a dish and bake. People have also said they put sliced tomatoes on the top before baking, which sounds nice.Grocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. i just had a lovely hot bubbly bath.
i don't find corned beef that cheap personally, i can get mince, shin or a chicken breast for the same price i can stretch one chicken breast in a pie ok for the 5 of us but i'd much rather have 2, then again i have acess to cheap healthy chicken breasts with nothing added and again thats not an option for everyone. i do love a corned beef and tom sandwich with a wee bit of mayo thoDEC GC £463.67/£450

We used to have corned beef hash quite often at the end of the pay cheque but not since the price of corned beef went through the roof.
This is what we sometimes have instead
bacon hash
Peel potatoes until tender and allow to cool. Cut into chunks (alternatively if you have left over mashed potato use this instead) Peel and chop 1 small onion and fry along with bacon (diced) no need for extra oil as the bacon fat renders out. Fry together until hot.
variations: as the storecupboard allows, sauteed peppers, tomatoes,mushrooms - good for using up veg left in the bottom of the fridge1 -

Btw, eggs are very filling and much more so than cereal, pasta or bread, as they're high in protein and incredibly versatile too so can provide countless meal varieties
But the whole point of the thread is that they only had £7 per week to eat. It seems obvious from costings in earlier posts that your choice of menu just isn't possible for £7 per week. I don't think anyone is disputing the fact that it isn't the healthiest menu to follow long term. Unfortunately someone who only has £7 per week just doesn't have that many choices on what to eat, and frankly they'll be glad to be feeding themselves for that in an emergency.1 -

The stats are comparable except on the sugar, kelloggs contain almost twice the level.
