Hi again - thank you to you all for your responses. here is the link for my property. Im facing facts that i just need to sit tight now - i am a little impatient coz im a 'i want things done now' kinda person. Im not desparate to sell this minute but would like to be secure in the knowledge that it will sell within the next 6 months.

Worriedfirsttimebuyer mentioned Greenfield Road being busy - it is yes but once you are inside the house you would never know you were on a main road and parking never been a problem on this stretch of Greenfield Road.
Any comments about the advertising/my house most welcome - just need those viewers over my doorstep - spread the news to all first time buyers!!!!!
 thanks

Could the red paintwork put people off as its quite a personnal choice? I know my OH would love it as he's a liverpool fan but others may not be.
Also in the lounge maybe open up the blinds and move the tv and cabinet away from the window to make a feature of the window and the light? Bedroom looks good though and generally well presented insode.Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*

from what i can see it looks fine to me, but maybe more pictures and possibly a better description would attract more interest? Maybe a picture of clutter-free yard/garden, kitchen, bathroom?
Being a liverpool :T fan myself, red looks fine, but as the poster above mentioned it might not be everyones cup of tea. I also noticed that your house looks like it has hardwood windows at the front, might be worth mentioning?0

The red paintwork strikes me as being a bit unusual too. It comes across rather strongly. I be worried that people would think someone is trying to disguise the poor condition of the stonework (not that I couldn't tell the state of the stonework but others might think that way). I know it's a bit of work but can you clean it off or paint it in a more neutral tone (white or off white?)icklejulez wrote: »Could the red paintwork put people off as its quite a personnal choice? Julez - woolyback or not? A house isn't a home without a cat. A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

Hmm...interesting. Yes, it was a personal choice a few years back. When i first moved to this street 5 years ago there was a house that had the same red paintwork and i really liked it - i like striking things. but as you all say it is a personal choice. It is the first picture you see of my house and if so many of you think it could be slightly offputting then its down to B&Q for me. i want to do anything to help attract the viewers although i didnt think there could be buyers who could be put off by the colour because it didnt match their football team - however as i dont follow footie - i wouldnt have thought of it - could advertise the house at Anfield!!!!
Regarding the pictures -the first estate agent put lots of pics on website. this one now reckoned we should leave the viewer wanting to see more of the house. i know from my own personal experience - i would wonder if there was something wrong with the other rooms if they are not on the website. I can assure you - there isnt but you do tend to follow what the estate agent says. i have just spoken with my estate agent and they dont seem to think there is a problem with the paintwork - they have had no comments upon enquiries - people are looking at the area that i am in and price (because it is a good area) and arent too worried about the paintwork on the house which i understand because i too -if i was looking to buy -would only be interested in finding a house for the right price in dentons green and wouldnt be bothered about what colour the paintwork was. so there are other factors to take into consideration but i do appreciate your comments - keep em coming!!
 Many thanks

            Vic,
Id agree with you about not having the extra pics. My gut feeling is "oh whats the kitchen like- a tip probably" Id also think your from room is small the way theyve taken that photo I dont think gives either room justice. Shame, cos it looks nice - the photos dont work. Id also think your from room is small the way theyve taken that photo I dont think gives either room justice. Are there a lot pof people wanting to see more, then when they come they dont offer? If not, then the advertising isnt grabbing them.
Most people have a short amount of time these days and with the internet what it is Id say most people like to "preview" the house. If theyve seen all pictures ( I sold mine with House network & their pics are superb) and everyone who came in liked it and said it ewas the same as the pics.
Id get some more pics, and better done. Do they want to sell your house and get the fee or not? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
 This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0

Im not insulting the house by the paintowrk by any measure, Im just trying to think of all the lessons Ive learnt whilst selling mine. Dont give anyone a reason not to view your house as they may be your purcahser. Remember a lot of people scan Rightmove and it will be the first picture to attract a viewer. What about some potted plants in the front garden so it doesnt feel so much like a concrete terraced road. I know a lot of these terrace houses are on roads to be desired so you want to change the viewers impression to get them through the door. Remeber when the Ea asks a viewer there reason for not being interested, most people are embarrassed to mention trivial reasons maybe ask your EA to ask more indepth questions.
I am not a footy fan either but know how obsessive OH is. Think of it this way, I viewed an old fashioned, small house with council properties overlooking it and OH was desperate for it as there was a half completed loft conversion with a massive scalectrix fitted and staying up there. He wanted the house. Took me 4 weeks to make him clear we are not having it...Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*

I guess you paid 40k 5 years ago, i think 1st time buyers are beginning to wake up and not pay obscene prices for 2 beds terraces in mining towns, i feel for them. If it all goes wrong someones going to be 50k upside down on this house....0
