Life just doesn't get better than this! (Light-hearted thread)

I bought and used for the first time today a Culinare MagiCan can opener and I was seriously impressed! I was particularly in awe of the no-need-touch-the-food-covered-lid technology and admired the neatness of the empty cans before disposing of them (washed of course) in the recycling box.
While half the country has disappeared to some music festival this weekend, this is as good as it's going to get for me I think. My life offically sucks! :rotfl:
What's everyone else got planned?

Don't panic, you're not the only person in Scotland who's not off at a festival this weekend
I've got no plans for the next two weeks, I really fancy a day away somewhere but it's not really that much fun on your own, especially when the inevitable downpour happens and you're forced to take refuge in a pub...:o;)0 -
You only just got a magican?
I've got 2, my old one and a new one (smugness)
I've got one of these too it's the business

Well, I'm off work for 2 weeks having a staycation and of course, it's going to feel like half the planet is somewhere hot and beachy! At the beginning of the year, a staycation seemed OK but now that it's here, I wish I had something else planned. Not to worry, I have a garage to clear out, a house to clean and decorate and a [STRIKE]jungle [/STRIKE]garden to tame!
I have enough furniture and junk in the garage to furnish a house so I think I'll get in touch with one of those charities who help out people in need. I've got a suite, bunk beds, a single bed, shelving units, coffee table, curtains, bedding etc. Maybe I'll get the car in where it belongs0 -

I've spent the day gardening and the rest of it on the sun lounger.
Beginning my six weeks holiday the way I mean to continue.
Life may be a bit boring atm, but boring is good right now."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

There is NOTHING wrong with boring!
I made some netting for my cucumber earlier today. Doesn't come much more boring than that! I can see eyes rolling at the mere thought...If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

Food production per sq/metre in urban environments, cause apparantly the government doesnt have a clue *how much* we could potentially feed ourselves. Theres only data from plots where people spend all day working on the crops, when in actual fact most people have full time jobs/other commitments.0
