    Morning all.

Went to T's for a specific shop to use vouchers, get petrol voucher and to produce a JTD but whilst there they had loads of the chicken tikka and sweet chilli chicken from the bbq range being further reduced. I knew from before that the discount still kicks in when reduced but there were no red stickers on these so thought no mulit buy however when i got to the till and put the reduced bits through first, four of the chickens and a pack of reduced burger rolls came to the grand sum of 1p!! Lad on till didn't know what to do so called over supervisor who luckily enough was a girl I used to babysit who just said to let it go through for the 1p :D There were so many packs of the chicken left but I knew i did not have enough freezer space so could not get any more :(

Just waiting for the PP's to come in now which will hopefully give me back somewhere between £8 to £10 (if the pork loins are still comparing). My "proper" shop came to £53.00 which I managed to get down to £30 with various coupons etc - not my best effort but it was thebest I could do.

Hope everyone has a great day :)

    Good Morning :)

I am in a better frame of mind this morning after talking to a couple friends on here thank you ;)

It just gets to me when i have no real life friends and Poppy is a dog :D so she listens but can't talk back :rotfl::rotfl:Would be rich if she could :)

Who needs RL friends when you have the elite;););)

We are all merely virtual friends here - most of the people on here would not "get along" in real life and would have nothing in common. Never mind what some may say, the majority appreciate your wit and turn of phrase.

Let's see how many thanks this post gets and maybe, just maybe you will be back.

    PXX
Got to disagree a bit with that;)When we had an mse meet we had a fab time and we all got on fantastically because we are all like minded in our crusade to save money;);):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: In fact what was fantastic was that we would never cross paths in our RL but due to mse we have:T
And too be honest seeing how many thanks something gets is no indicator of anything because the Elite are on par with the voucher thread at handing out thanks:T:T:TYou will really only see the thanks bit work if some one posts a particularly nasty or trolling post.

have you tried this??............i know when it comes to using vouchers they work before savings are made

eg.....B1G1F.............you can use 2 vouchers although you are only paying for 1

I'd never looked at it from this angle. That would be the correct thing to do but I can't help want to "sock-it-to-them" so-to-speak. I've complained to HO at TEsco numerous times about instore DTD but it still goes on.

I am in conversation with ASDA presently but I'm now wondering whether I should leave it incase they do introduce a T&C of fair play.

    What are the Elite's thoughts?

PS - sorry my post annoyed you, FK, that wasn't the intention. :o

DTD, some do it without asking, some with asking and some say they will sell it to you for the shelf price.

I did write about my pork loin joint, half price on shelf, charged full price, was given half money back (and even this was incorrect value), put pp in and came back half price in As, then I thought I would give Ts c/s a quick phone call, lady I spoke to was most apologetic, she had seen them herself but did not buy as they were now full price, she immediately offered me a £10 gift card and said that no matter what it is, Items in wrong place, offer finished etc that you should always be given DTD.

So my pork loin joint which I got for half price, has now made me a small profit. It does pay to ask nicely sometimes (well all the time).

I must say that T C/S telephone centre have always been pretty good, in my opinion, I bought 2 settees for my daughter, after about 4 months one had worn, they sent someone out straight away, who said non-repairable. T C/S rang and said they were discontinued and for her to look for 2 new settees, she did but decided to have 3 two seater settees instead of 3 and 2 seater. I rang to arrange this and pay the extra, the lady I spoke to said OK let me order them first, she then came back on the line and said 'all done' I asked her how much extra I had to put towards them and she said 'No charge', these settees were an extra £200.00 on top of the two returned.

Could not have been given better customer service than this.

sorry for last post, went on a bit (getting carried away).

Would not like to work in a supermarket now, when I worked in one years ago, it was double pay for a Sunday and Triple pay for a bank holiday (anyone remember triple pay?) am sure they don't get triple pay now, but could be wrong.

I would not encourage anyone to do Quidco check ins - it is the one thing that leaves me an angry swearing harpie :rotfl:

You need to register with Quidco and then download the ap to your iphone (so you need an apple account) I think that it also works on android phone but it zapps your battery. There is also an ipad version but you need to have 3g or be wi-fi enabled etc.

You then get a list of nearby places to check in at - things with a green tick. All places are worth varying ammounts eg 5p, 10p, 20p. The 1st time we did it is was great, like a treasure hunt around the town.

Since then its been nothing but annoying. Places with a green tick come and go and sometimes you can be inside a shop and it still wont register.

You get a map of your local area and within 20 miles of us there are supposed to be 50 places with check-ins - there isnt.

In the 1st fortnight I get about £7 and its automatically put into your account. The next 2 weeks I got £2
I have seen this mentioned before?
i have looked on quidco but couldnt find nothing about it, can you briefly explain how it works please?
Do you have to make a purchase? or do you just "check in" to say you have visited a certain store?
And is Tesco included in this as i pass there almost every day so could very easily "check in" on passing.
    TIA
