    AFternoon elite :hello:

A very cloudy but hot day here in Suffolk but I've had a lovely day with my grandaughters :j
Feel quite emotional today too as it's GD1 birthday today and my father died 22 years ago today :( so Aug 1st is always a sad yet happy day for me :A

DS3 has been searching to book his honeymoon for late October :o he seems to be set to book Mexico but can anyone tell me
apart from passport what documents will he need to get and does he need jabs please?

He's cominground this evening and using DHs crdit card to pay for it :D (my idea) :D

Haven't caught up with todays musings so I need to skim read :o bought pork yesterday so hope it is still ok ;)

Will def need jabs, though I cant remember which ones. Best to get this arranged asap as I seem to remember some time between two jabs. Sorry to be so vague :o
Take care what you do on the way up, it may come back at you on the way down.
    Kindness costs nothing.

just looking at cereals for the petrol voucher tomo. Most prices are inflated but there are some deals to be had. I've compared T v A.

Spend £6 on cereal and get a 10p petrol voucher. Deals are as follows:

Cheaper in A so good for JTD and topping up a shop

    £2.29 £1
    Weetabix golden Syrup 24 522g 49p JTD
    £2.49 £2

For cheap T deals, the following cereals are on offer.
    Rice Krispies 510g
    £1.24 £2.68
    Weetabix 24 454g buy 2 for £3
    X 2 £3 £4.34

HC, I would suggest sending an email to head office. This means you can attach a copy of your receipt and also lots of shots showing the damage to your shoes.

If I ever have to make a complaint i usually send an email nowadays, its instant, and you have the bonus of being able to attach evidence. Ive usually had fairly quick replies as well.

Goods have to be 'of reasonable quality' and usually if a complaint is made within 6 months the onus is on the company, if you complain after 6 months its much harder to get anywhere.

Don't dwell on your experience too much from when you returned, other than their 'dismissive attitude' and unacceptable offer.

Theres lots of discussions on the web about wear and tear of shoes and how much this contributes to the reason shoes are returned, but state your case that you would 'reasonably' expect a pair of clarks quality shoes to last much longer than 6 weeks.

Maybe write your email and pop a copy on this thread for us all to have a look at and make suggestions before you send it? Sometimes its how you approach a complaint that decides the outcome;).

I don't have a clue what your rights are re: shoes Happy. but i agree that 6 weeks wear is nothing. I'd ring up their h/o.

your story did make me laugh though - poor Martin thinking he may have to tackle you!!

I've just been trying to work this out. It's correct but my S/M is showing S as oos. so it's a chance. But £20.92 for 72 dishwasher tabs is a pith take.

Here were my workings out, nothing as good as the Heinz Mayo jtd though.

    Andrex T Roll 9 pack (Quilts/Aloe vera/shea butter) BUY 2 and get a 10p petrol voucher -
    X 2 £5 £5.25 £5.28
Finish All in 1 Lemon 78’s and get a 10p petrol voucher = spend £20.42 but £11.42 JTD
£20.42 £9 but showing as OOS til (21st Aug)
    • Conflicting advice on website re: buying 1 or 2 packs for 10p fuel voucher
Tetley Tea 160 bags 500g BUY 2 and get a 10p petrol voucher
    X 2 for £6? £4.30 £4.30

    Cereals spend £6 and get a 10p petrol voucher (Alpen/ Jordans/ cheerios/Weetabix etc)
£6 £? still to work out

On Ts website it looks like the spend £6 is only on muesli Jordens/alpen/Dorset ect can't see any normal ones that the kids would eat unless I haven't seen what other people have
