omg  and you are taking Happy with you :rotfl::rotfl:

seriously this sounds very daring :eek:

Yes, I was supposed to be the driver then we found out after we booked the flights that cars can't be hired without a driver over there. If you can find someone that will hire you just the car they require a €1,000 CASH deposit, you aren't allowed to take the car on many of the roads and the insurance has that many things excluded from it it's better just to get a car with driver. Plus, if we did get the €1,000 deposit back what are we going to do with it? we would lose money converting money from £'s to € then even more money converting it back again.:(

    Should I be miffed?

No you should not be miffed - you and your daughter are now seeing these people for what they really are and this is real life. Your daughter will be sad about it but it is part of growing up process to realise that other people often do not live up to our expectations. She is better learning that lesson whilst a teenager than in her early 20's!!!

    Thanks Pattylabelle
Yes you are entirely right, I always expect people to do the same as I would, I guess I have learnt a lesson there too. My daughter seems to be okay - they always bounce back don't they? Another lesson I should learn.
When I grow old, I dont want people thinking "what a sweet old lady" I want them to think
"oh carp what is she up to now!"

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Well todays trip to Inversnekkie was a bit of a washout, in more ways than one.
We put the postcode in and off we went, and ended up 10 miles away from where we should have been.
Found it eventually more by good luck than good management.
We went for a much needed loo stop and coffee. Only 2 ladies loos for a brand new store!!!! huge queue and one loo had no paper.
Went into the queue for coffee, and had a 15 min wait to buy 3 coffees, there is only one till, and everyone was waiting for meals, it really was a shambles. People were trying to complain but the complaint slips had run out!!!
Then my daughter text to say the coke was finished. Really cheesed off by now, and couldnt leave the store due to the monsoon that was happening outside.
So spent a small fortune in Debs and French Connection instead. : )
Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.

Nope, no guessing just yet, and those that do know are to keep quiet.;)
Happy is suppose to be bag carrier but it never turns out like that.

I have needed 7 vaccinations for this trip.

Happy only needed the one as I've had more little pricks (literally:rotfl: than her over the years.:eek:

I put 2 wombles in today that came up with not got 8 items, so doesn't look like a change in policy - not sure why it worked

We have been through similar scenarios many, many times and at the end of the day my message to my children is......

"Those people do not deserve the pleasure of your company dear - sit down and watch the olympics and let them go stuff themselves!!!"

Can I ask where you get the bear vouchers from please

    Hi Millymolly

In the latest edition of the S Everyday magazine (which you can pick up free in store) there are coupons for £1.50 off Bav beer and £1.00 of Bav shandy

This is magazine has a yellow front cover with picture of ice cream

Be careful as there is another S magazine in store with ice cream on that you have to pay for (think this is |£1.60) as a few people have picked this up without realising
