Thinking about the Sainsburys problem this morning I wondered if anyone is having the same problems buying the shandy (as buying beer is now a problem?)

I suppose ideally you could go in with just a purse full of change, do your beer shop (along with a few other items) - then if the beer MOCs are refused at the till you could say you only have small change, not enough to pay for everything, get right upset, burst into tears or annoyed, wave your crutches about and just say you are not having any of the shopping now and walk off - takes some courage to do this but quite satisfying if you like a bit of drama:rotfl: shopping

I did think of another stratergy around this.

I had a look at mys this morning and I found a good few items with good enough price differences for a S v A shop to which you could add at least one shandy.
The idea being to still spend £20 and hopefully to still get a near enough full value BM. Ideally you want to add things we have MOCs for eg the Mcvs free cake bars, Cravendale 50ps, Mccains chips etc to bring the total down and then finally produce your previous BM so your finall total is under a tenner.

I also had a look at the potential for a S v T list but its change over Tuesday again so I am not sure wether the prices are right on mys.
But you could do the same sort of shop, spend £20 including the one and only beer plus other items that we have with MOCs - Mccains, Cravendale, Mcvs free cakes plus your previous BM. Hopefully with the same objective to get another near full value BM.

Possibly this has to to done after Wednesday when the T prices have settled again. Just a pity that there are not more useful MOCs about ....

This is a very sutle and legal way of "getting back" at Mr S - Ok they wont let us buy more than one beer now - thats fine, we will buy just one beer then with our shopping, but we can also use a previous BM voucher and if our sums are correct the catalina machine will still produce another large value one for the next shop :)

OK, slightly (more than slightly) nervous here, but i've been stalking this thread. A lady I know (in person) is an avid member on this thread, and recommended I get in on it. Well, it was more of a, you MUST!!! get in on this elite! So far i've been looking and going  Find this all very hard to keep up with and am routinly reading up to 25 pages at a time. Takes me forever to figure out what/where the coupons are by the time which, they are usually expired. This week I got very *brave* and did the Muller APG :D First time ever! :T Yeah, I have a looooong way to go before I am *elite* :rotfl: But I really want/need to try this. So can someone please explain the Beer glitch to me? :rotfl: So far ive read this thread and several pages of the old thread, Ive worked out you need to spend £20 to get the sainsburys price comparison, its the low alcohol Bavaria not the alcohol free. And there is a voucher somewhere but I cant find where??
Also I have no idea how to figure out the free Lenor, please help a total newbie :o
Glad to hear the Mullers are still working so far :D Ive had about 50 so far, but with hubby eating up to 6 a day plus the kids 4 each that only lasted about 2 days

Ok just an idea to use up any of those £5 off £40 conditional spends on a T versus A price porkie. Now this is obviousley dependant on A not changing any prices before the cs are valid on 26th and the items remaining on A.com

    5 x Lenor Spring awakening 750 ml T £9.95(£1.99 each) A £7.50 (£1.50 each) - JTD £2.45
    5 x Lenor Summer Breeze 750ml T £9.95(£1.99 each) A £7.50 (£1.50 each) - JTD £2.45
    5 x Lenor Pure (white bottle) 750ml T £9.95(£1.99 each) A £7.50 (£1.50 each) - JTD £2.45
    3 x Lenor Infusions Gold Orchid 750ml T £6.75(£2.25 each) A £4.50 (£1.50 each) - JTD £2.25

3 x Febreze aerosols - 3 different flavours from the selection that are both £2 at T and A

2 x Greens Lemon Pie filling T £1.00 (50p each) A 70p (35p each) - JTD 30p (each one of these technically results in 5p off your shopping when using the greens coupon)

    Total spend £43.60
    - 18 Lenor coupons £18.00
    - 6 Febreze coupons £6.00
    - 2 Greens coupons 80p
    - Conditional spend £5.00 (and any other cs you happen to have)

    Balance to pay = £13.80
    JTD return £9.90
Total cost of shop = £3.90

This is all obviousley dependant on having the vouchers and T and A not making any price changes before Thursday, and I see that the offer of the Febreze spray is due to end on 24th, so slight adjustments may have to be made, but just ensure you do not increase the JTD amount as this is capped at £10

I hope all my calculations make sense and are correct. Just thought I'd share with you all in case it's on any use to anyone.
I have already successfully price porkied all of these items apart from the Febreze aerosols.

You could also of course swap the 3 Febreze sprays for non-comparable items that amount to at least £2.40 to meet the £40 min spend, but the price of your shop will then go up by the same amount. I have included 3 different scents of the sprays to make up the 8 items required for JTD.
    hth :)

Fab list thank you & very well explained will give it a go today :T:T

I will be hammering this one if this works. I got two tonight so will let you know tomorrow. I will probably go for about 50 off these deals and give the vouchers to my family as that's a cracking deal. £4 on juice = £5 off fuel = result!

    :A:T:money:
Can you work the maths for me please?

I can see that you need to buy 2 robinsons for £7 which should give you a £3 jtd so if you bought 4 in one shop that would give £6 jTD.
So would you get 2 petrol vouchers in one shop?
Then you can use your £6 JTD against your next shop of 4 Robinsons.
So in the end how many bottles of Robinsons, how much actually spent and how much saved on fuel?

Our tanks only hold 43 litres so a 5p voucher usually saves us about £2 at the most. So 50p in vouchers would save us about £20 at the very most - I suppose if you have a big petrol tank the vouchers are better value.

I am a bit worried that if the JTD does not match it would look a bit odd taking it back to CS

Good evening guys n gals, I'm probably about 100 posts too late with this but just in case :-

I have recently done my apg from the mullers last week, I added a couple of cheap items (fruit) and some vodka to be on the safe side.
Apg came back at about £4.70, I then wondered what it would have been without the vodka- £3.30, I then (because of the oj and the max 10 of same item) wondered what it would have been had I bought 10 vodkas - £17.00!!

Vodka was comparing at 4p dearer in Mr M but the more you buy the more you get back, so no need to but "cheap" comparable items, better to buy expensive. I hope I've explained this satisfactorily and if it's already been mentioned, hey ho!
cheap stuff we can buy & not worry - shove them in the back of the cupboard for an emergency.
You would have to NEED an expensive item:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
My best APG was from 10 bottles of whisky that was a penny cheaper in M's
I say "THANKS" to posts that make me smile - Oh and really good glitches.:j

Very nice list - love seeing other peoples workings out.

Also can I suggest some alternatives if soemone does not have enough lenor MOCs

    Mccains straight chips huge bage T £2.80/ A £2 - use a 50p MOC print off
Mc Vs free cake bars from FB - Hobnob flapjack bars £1.10 - price matches but its a free pack voucher so ti brings the toal down again
    Cravendale - 1.88 T/ 1.50A ---50p MOcs from fb
