Well, how are they going to buy all that silver otherwise?
Personally I'm a bit disappointed that we haven't had the bronze bugs on as yet. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Some will be available for sale, some to rent (from whom I don't know), and 1,300 will be "affordable".
One way or another the Olympic games has been very good for the UK and very very good for London.
The question is how much has it pushed up and held up prices, when everyone goes home to other parts will there be the demand to keep all these properties occupied?
How much will prices fall after everyone goes home and all this extra supply comes available and all the demand has gone away.0 -

Due to that not very much if at all.0 -
It made have been good for London short term, we shall see in the longer term. Don't forget the Londoners have invested a massive amount of money in it, over the last 10 years, that could arguably have been spent on equally beneficial things, perhaps with a longer guaranteed legacy.
Not so sure about the benefits to the wider UK, if any at all, in the scheme of things."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

I saw an article on TV this morning re the Chinese Olympic legacy. Apparently there are now more visitors to the Birds Nest Stadium than there are to the Forbidden City. Mind you, given that the London stadium was a cheaper and less architecturally interesting site, I wonder if as many people will be wanting to go visit the future and partially deconstructed ground of West Ham once our games are over. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I can not see anyone in years to come visiting there as a tourist attraction.
I can however in years to come see prices of rents and property falling from the inflated levels they are now.0 -

Who exactly is it that you think will be leaving London in droves and therefore freeing up all of this supply?0 -

I think they will stabilise. I don't think they will fall like they have in the North for similar high density stuff.
What will they do with that helter skelter thing? Move it alongside the eye?"If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Troubled buy to let investors who bought at inflated peak prices on a dream that East London would stop being a poo hole and have now felt realism and remortgaging concerns perhaps.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.
