    Ok fellas, won't make a fuss about the builder selling the metals, he is said he is going to give to a 'friend'. As he dumped all the metals in the garden and it's still there making it unsightly, will ask him to get rid of it quickly, otherwise I can do that for him;)

    Hang on it was you that created the thread in the first place with that suggestion and this post is the first indication that he is not planning to sell it despite your being asked what evidence you had for this except a separate pile in the garden earlier up the thread.

    If hes giving it away (yeah right) then actually there is no impact on him at all if you dispose of it as you originally moaned because you could sell it and use the proceeds to negotiate the installation of a downstairs loo IIRC.

    Not wishing to offend but you really need to make your mind up otherwise all these threads are potentially a waste of yours and everybody elses time.

    Cheers

    I think eastender is either a total trolling pro, (in which case I bow my head, he's good), or just simply misguided and having realised that is trying to claw back at the builder.

    I'll go with the latter, and let this be a lesson that benefits newcomers to this site;

    Ask here and elsewhere before you sign up to a builder/xxx/xxxxx/etc

    That way you are informed, plus;

    ensurer the terms of your contract even if it isd a verbal one, agree that you or thew trader have clearance/ scrap rights.

    And I'm just a householder.;)
    I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

    Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

    Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

    If you didnt ask to keep the scrap for yourself then whats the problem?

    You cant expect the guy the skip a couple hundred quids worth of brass/copper for fear of upsetting you.

    he has a business to run and theres money to be made in waste whether you realised it or not.
