An owner doesnt need a licence but a trader does!
I dont think anyopne on this subject is asking for flooring to be taken up to get it, but i expect a trader would unnecessarily so they could get at it!
It's not a licence, it's a permit
And really, the Environment Agency have got better things to do - at the end of the day the guy is taking it as scrap so it is recycled, not lobbing it over the nearest hedgeI have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off
1% over payments on cc 3.5/100 (March 2014)0 -
Exactly. Its the cost of a skip to register.
So you're not a trader then?
Cheers
Wrong again, as a domestic owner you are perfectly entitled to take stuff to a scrappy your self!
Trader, NO, but managed plenty, and retention and selling of scrap from properties contracted to them had a clause, not their entitlement to sell as it belonged to the owners!Signature removed0 -

But just occasionally he is taking it from the nearest railway embankment, or from the drainage system of your main road, call it a !!!!in, thats a ferkin permit/licence, lets not get pedantic, it needs controls:mad::mad:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Not wrong nitwit. I was agreeing with you that its only the trader that needs the permit/licence call it what you will and as extra information for those not in the know said how much it was for the trader to register.Wrong again, as a domestic owner you are perfectly entitled to take stuff to a scrappy your self!
Mmm - thought not.Trader, NO,.......
Did you not read what I wrote? No - thought not. Sheesh!...........and retention and selling of scrap from properties contracted to them had a clause, not their entitlement to sell as it belonged to the owners!

It's bizarre. The posts on this forum that get the most responses are the ones about the most petty of things.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Its usually the only way to get it out.
Funny how the [STRIKE]!!!!!![/STRIKE] metals disposal executives can always manage to turn up within 30 microseconds of the stuff being put outside. Actually I find its a good way of getting rid of all the waste. Pile the bags of old tiles, plasterboard, bricks etc out the front so that its clear what you are doing and separately keep the metals out the back. When they say "any metals, pipework guv" the reply is "yes but only if you take that too". One or two may say no but one will come along soon that will do it. Saves the cost of the skip which is inevitably more than the return on the metals from the scrappy. Oh but make surte they have the waste carriers licence. If they flytip it the council can and will come after the owner of the property if they can trace them.
Cheers
I've no idea what a genuine waste carriers' licence looks like even if they had one and neither, I suspect, do many of these [STRIKE]!!!!!![/STRIKE] metal disposal executives. I really couldn't forgive myself if the lot got dumped in a country lane somewhere, sadly it happens round my way a lot, so I wouldn't be inclined to take the chance.0
