I've just signed up for myfitnesspal.com and put in today's food just to see where I am at  I have 137 calories left for my dinner.
I know it's the weekend but think that I should stop "treating myself" for the weekend especially as weigh in is a week away yet
I need to make some changes in my diet. I may be some time.0 -
I tried the fitness pal app, only lasted two days on it. The amount of calories it allowed me just wasn't enough for me to get through the day on without being ravenous.£2 Savers Club 2011 (putting towards a deposit

Morning people!
I love myfitnesspal - it means I can track what I eat so easily. It also confirmed it isn't the amount I eat (although to be entirely truthful this has changed a bit in the 10 days I have been doing the food diary) but the lack of exercise I do.
In my head I know this, but I can only cope with one thing at a time so I shall keep up the diary and do what exercise I can when the kids are out, and then increase it when I feel I am totally happy and in control of the eating.
We are doing well guys, hope you all have a fabulous day!Spam Reporter Extraordinaire

HI everyone
MFp says i am only allowed 1200cals a day. I feel OK with that, but the same as you wyre, it is now glaringly obvious that i NEED to exercise more!
It'll be easier once the kids are back at school though..or the weather inproves.0 -
Definitely agree that exercise is the key. Says she, sitting on the sofa looking out at the rain0

Hmmm, WATCHING tennis burns off as many calories as PLAYING it...right??0

I wish it did WantToBeSE, but according to the app I have for my phone shopping burns off a lot of calories

Evening Ladies.
Subcribed to this thread when you started but didn't really pay much attention.
Two weeks ago after a powwow with my boyfriend a made another vow to try and lose weight. I have a lot (around 8st) to lose.
I sat down and assesed my diet; i have terrible eating habits. I go hours and hours with out eating and then feel so hungry/faint etc i devour a whole packet of biscuits. I was surving on 2-3 bottles of lucozade a day, and large lattes from costa. Although quantity wise i wasn't eating much food everything i was eating was wrong.
I've tried calorie counting before and failed as i'd rather have two mars bars; a cola and crisps than three filling meals.
First week; i started by watching my food intake, and trying to eat three meals puls healthy snacks spread outn over the day. I also did a wee bit of wit fit i lost 2lb.
Second week i found My Fitness Planner and started logging everything (good or bad) i ate. The site calculated the calories i could eat to lose my goal of 2lb a week and it s still left a a decent amount (16.40). Have done that for a week (still three meals and pleanty of snacks) and when i weighed in yesterday found i'd lost another 3lbs.
I know i have a long way to go but feeling pretty postive.
Oh I'm pink_and_twinkly on MFP and would welcome any friends / feedback.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0
