Please could you advise me what my next step is, as i havnt signed up for any loans, I was simply using this to try and find out which would be the best company to go thru as i have been refused by banks. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
It would appear that you have fallen foul of the "randomly entering bank card details on websites without knowing why they are asking for them or reading the T&Cs" disease.
How soon after applying to Priority Money Club did you request your refund? If it was within 14 days then they should refund you all of your money as per point 13 of their T&C. If it wasn't then it looks like you can wait 10 weeks and then ask for a refund minus £5 if you haven't taken out a loan in that time as per point 11 of their T&C.0 -
i applied 3 weeks ago, but they didnt take money until 26 march0

When they took the money is irrelevant. What is important is cancelling within the 14 days from when you received the T&Cs, which will be when you signed up for their service. So you were too late to get a refund by cancelling in the cooling-off period.
Your only chance is to wait the 8 weeks and then go back to them on the basis that you haven't used their service and want a refund under point 11 of their T&C.0 -
I have sat here giggling and shaking my head in equal measure I can't say more than that for fear of being banned, but I can now fully understand why Martin wants financial education taught in schools, reading advice and following t&c's should be a core lesson in its own right
Going to lie down now and tell myself a) that really didn't happen and b) it's no wonder this world is in the mess it's in

Oh dear - there are SO many threads on this forum about this issue. It's a sorry situation, but really people have only themselves to blame if they give out their bank and/or card details without considering to whom and for what reason they are required.
I see that the OP has a Sky Package - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/55027611#Comment_55027611 - this isn't an essential and there are all sorts of things that can be cancelled/sold BEFORE having recourse to dubious "Loan Providers".
I cancelled my Sky when everything hit the fan for me and found that I could do without it so well that I cancelled terrestrial TV too. Not for everyone, I know, but surely worth considering before handing your head on a plate to these brokers or PDL companies, especially if you have children to provide for...0 -
Hi there, we are looking for a loan and have filled in an application for this company but got to the bit about entering card details, did a quick google and found your post so thank you!
Could I ask what company you went with in the end? We desperately need a loan but both myself and my partner have bad credit.
Thanks in advance x0 -
There aren't any loans for people with bad credit. All you'll get is loan brokers at 70 quid a shot.
What is the loan for? Perhaps there's another way. Or it's not even needed.0 -
It's for home improvements, it is pretty necessary 0
-
Collapsed roof? Or new carpets? How much will it cost and how long to save for it?0
-
How much has been saved for these improvements so far?
You do realise loans really should be repaid so whatever you did manage to borrow would need repaying every month.
You could have been saving those repayments before now0
