...well here we are in October. Last week I sent by tracked/signed for delivery a letter with the documents from the court showing that I have got a judgment against this company and reminding them of the options open to me to enforce.

Just looking at my reference number on the Royal Mail site I see that my letter is still in the system. Suspicious, as this state seems to suggest to me as I posted exactly a week back and it is only about 40 miles to Daventry from here. I suspect that they - the addressee - has refused to accept my letter but then again it is just a polite reminder that they have to do something, anything respond in some way would be nice for a start. I cannot raise them by email letter and phones are not answered....how long do I hang on for paying premium rates anyway?

Would be interested in anyone else who has hit the buffers like this and how to get further?

    Thanks

If it was me I would freeze the bank account ...they will soon get back to you when they can't pay wages or bills :rotfl:

You need to decide whether the defendant is a "won't pay" or a "can't pay".

If the former then you have to now pay for your choice of enforcement. The costs get added on to the amount you are owed.

If the latter then give up now!

Well, just to say I am perplexed at this companies behaviour. Earlier this month I sent by 'signed for' on delivery a copy of the court papers and a polite letter setting out my options for recovering the money. I gave them a deadline (long since expired!), for responding. I also have a hard copy of their signed for note from Royal Mail, so I know they have received the package.

Following the links kindly provided up thread I can see that it going to cost more money (min 100UKP) to get any progress. Now the situation is that these people have not responded at all to any of the official court papers nor any of my registered letters, emails answering the phone etc. I suppose they have played this game before and know how far they can push their luck and the patience of the creditors.

The amount owed to me is less than 200UKP so it is becoming more risky to pursue this but OTOH why should they get away with breaking written contracts.

    I welcome comments.

    Thanks.

If you are certain that you have a "valid" ccj (esp in view of the shebang sell off), then see post #54.

Well, yes this is exactly what bothers me having worked as an IT contractor in the past using agencies I know of their little tricks like going 'bust' then starting again with the same directors/office/kit all the while washing their hands of previous clients money they owed. I have the impression that I am bound to fail....unfortunately.
