However, I don't intend to hijack this thread further by arguing with you further. IanG has, I think, had his question answered and, unless any other contributor can add light to his question, then irrelevant "noise" (if that can be applied to written posts!) isn't likely to be of help to him.
Please see above.0 -
Thanks guys, I do appreciate the time spent responding to my question. I have learnt a lot.

OK, so earlier this month I took out a formal court action against Intomobilephones. They had 14 days to respond and the cut-off date was 22 Aug 2012 which has been and gone. I have not had a single communication from them at all, no text, email nor letter...nothing.
If I may ask again please what can I do now? The amount owed is not a king's ransom being around 180UKP so employing a solicitor would be a risk of pouring good money after bad. I just wonder now that it is on the public record (and I have no doubt that I am not the first one either!) there is a way of getting trading standards to take some serious action? I also wonder if those no-win-no-fee outfits would be worth trying though the amount being so small I guess this is just chicken feed to them.
Well, lesson learnt!0 -
If you mean you have paid the court to issue a claim, then the defendant may have contacted the court. You can apply now for a judgement by default and if the defendant has made no contact you will win and can start enforcement proceedings..
Apply for judgment and take it from the courts reply.0 -
So, thanks for that I got a judgment against the defendant by default.
I must now pursue them, enforcement you say? How is that done? Maybe contact the Trading Standards for Daventry now and say they have some shysters on their patch.
Any advice welcome.

I would wait till the period of grace for payment is up and then consider whether or not to get Bailiffs to enforce the payment. Read the Court literature on your options.
Bailiffs are only worth appointing if the company has assets that can be seized but, if they don't settle, then the company does have a CCJ against them, but you want your money as the main priority, so it may come to bailiffs.
No doubt others will also offer advice too, but do read all you can on line from the official sources.

Good result....It's back to court again though ..you will need to get a warrant of execution ....more forms to fll in :rotfl:
You could get their bank accounts frozen though if you are feeling naughty :rotfl:It's not just about the money0 -
