Morning all
Is it too early to feast on leftovers of melted chocolate? No? Oh good!!!
I've just polished off a bowl of the stuff. It is now duly scraped clean
I have just coated the coconut confections in chocolate and have popped the latest photo on the original post.
Just waiting for em to cool now in the fridge.
Kids are coming round after rock climbing so they ought to go down well.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
Grocery Spend Weekly Challenge (Sat-Fri):£30.50/£400 -
It was going to be a NSD but DH reminded me that we need to buy his cousin a birthday present, so later on I am off to so so. However it is going to be a GC NSD as I "shopped" at the allotment yesterday evening after the proper shopping, so we are well stocked for few more days. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

Morning all!
Well, I'm being bad and polishing off the last of the applewood cheese & crackers and making a 9 day meal plan from the dregs of what's in to last until next Wednesday (payday!). Cant wait to start the challenge properly!
Will make irish stew tonight from half of some mince we've in, and save the other half to do something else tomorrow e.g. chilli or shepherds pie. Also in the freezer we have; pack of whoopsie sausages, pack of 12 falafel & pitta breads, 4x pieces of breaded fish, 4x pieces of value white fish and a takeaway tub of 'freezer surprise' as the labels come off (looks a bit like chilli!). Plenty of frozen veg and fruit. Can definitely stretch that lot out to 9 days and save a few pennies. Will probably just need bread and milk really, will aim to spend no more than the £4ish in my purse.
Also, we have plenty of baking stuff in but a rubbish oven that burns EVERYTHING on the outside nomatter how low you set it. I used to love baking but it's just a waste as very little comes out edible

JJ - love the coconut treats - i am fasting today, so its really got my stomach doing cartwheels, need to get the hoover out and have a good energy burst i think
PG - god i hate when that happens. My freezer used to regularly defrost. Thankfully, it died a death and i ended up with a new MSE freebie one, so worked out in the end. Maybe you are going to find some amazing YS to fill the gaps (hopefully) xx
I know i have not gone over budget, but have been a bit lapse again in counting up, so will need to do that some time today and update.0 -
Where has the day gone? I can't believe it is afternoon already.
Today I have pulled out some ham and pea soup for lunch, I have taken out some multi grain rolls to go with it as well.
A peppered pork loin joint has come out for tea. I will make carbonnara with some of it. I should have enough left for sandwiches for lunch tomorrow.
No shopping should be done today except what I have spent on clothes this morning but that is a seperate budget and the kids needed the few bits I did buy.
I hope everyone has a low or no spend day.£36/£240
