PG, you have inspired me to look into geocaching. :T
I have just typed my postcode in and there are loads near me! I have just downloaded the app (£6.99 but I figure it will be a cool thing to do with the kids and friends!!!)

What kind of things do you put back in em? Sweets? A book? A pack of seeds?

    :)

Branston beans are £1 for 4 at the minute so it would only have cost you £6 for 24 :(
    Every little helps

I know, but I don't like the Branston beans :( The 'regular' ones are usually about £2 - £2.50 for 4 so I thought that 24 for just under £8 was ok.

Bought eggs today so will have to update sig.

    Puff Pastry ideas -
Cut the rolled out pastry into squares or rectangles, score lightly about a cm from the edge, and fill the middle with tomato, cheese, whatever chopped veg you have - just like pizza, brush the edge with milk and cook for 15 - 20 mins or so.

    Mini sausage rolls

    Cheese straws

Cut circles of pastry, put in a bun tin, fill with chopped ham and a cheese cube, put a lid on top if you like, and bake until golden
    HTH :)

DD1 has just told me about the mascots for the olympics. They have a really good website with some fun things for children to do.

I know it's not exactly GC, but it's something for the children to do while we're writing our shopping lists ;)

Sounds like you guys will have a good time. Thinking of you with meeting your ex, and hope it goes well.

Thanks, it was ok, annoyingly so. We're doing well at being friends, to be honest it's like we're still together but without the fun bits, if you know what i mean :rotfl:, which i don't know if that's good or not. But he spent time with the kids so that's good. Also planned a dat out to wicksteed park soon with him, which he would never have done before.

Picnic was good, and free we went to a park 4 doors down from my mums house so i filled up with juice when we ran out and i used the last 6 ice lollys from her freezer for the kids and my nephew as my sister and he joined us.

    Good NSD :D

, what's geocaching? Sounds like it could be fun?
    xx

Geocaching is basically something to make a walk more interesting! You look for boxes hidden around, for which you use an app or a special (expensive!) gadget. Once you get close to it, it gives you a clue, like 2ft up by a metal railing, or something like that. There are thousands hidden all over the country, and it was fun like a treasure hunt! Usually, they have a log book in, to write your name and the date you found it, and then some goodies. The idea is that you take something out, and put something of yours back in.

I can only describe it as 'cracker tut'! I wouldn't put anything ruin able just in case of weather conditions.

Was considering going shopping this evening, but my friend has only just gone, so I'm off to bed!! On the down side, there are or have been, mice in my loft! Was bringing down all the camping stuff ready for next week, and there has been gnawing... Any suggestions?

Wow. Seems like there is always a geocache within half a mile if your location. Love it. Will have lots of opportunities to go searching with friends on walks. Yay :j
