I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. The claimant forfeits the fee for the claim if it is struck out, or if the claimant drops the claim.Does HMC&TS still get their money if a case is dropped/struck out

If it proceeds to a hearing, there is a further fee to pay for that, which is added to the judgment if successful, but which is lost if the claim fails.
All of which explains why the more sensible PPCs never do court, the financial risk outweighs the potential benefit.
