And haven't they gone bust and "phoenixed"?The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

No. They simply lost their AOS membership. They continue to operate and despite their registered office being at some London mail drop they are based in the former Wessex Construction depot on the corner of Eastern Road and New Lane, Havant. Also based there is the recovery company (A1 Recovery Ltd) linked with the vehicle removals they carried out in the past as avid clampers. One wonders how this company will continue to make money come October and the outlawing of clamping on private land, although there is a large workshop at the New Lane address and the recovery business does carry out genuine recoveries? They may have something legitimate to be getting on with.Stephen_Leak wrote: »And haven't they gone bust and "phoenixed"?
The owner of Shoal, Michael Eames, used to run a garage in Petersfield years ago and just happens to be a director of A1 Recovery Ltd - of course. That business (the old business in Petersfield) went pop and so he branched out into selling ornamental and tropical fish under the business name of Koi & Co. That too went through the hoop and he re-appeared in 2007 as Shoal. Inspection of the logo will reveal that it is a reference back to the days of his fish business. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Thank you every one for the replies.0

From a fish business to a fishy business.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

I recieved a ticket in the same place on Friday but there were several others parked in the same place without permits but when I asked the operator why I was the only one he had given a ticket to ,I was told not so politely where to go! .He left the car park and as it happens I was travelling the same way but a car behind ,when I took a slip road I became level with him and he stuck his fingers up at me .I have decided to take the advice given here, but a little worried as these people are very threatening0

Remember that most the people that do the ticketing are of limited intelligence and also clampers. They want to scare / worry you - that's how they make their money.
In return for their nice bit of paper you should give them the virtual two finger salute by ignoring them ( and their threatening letters ) and don't forget to tell your family and friends about what a scam PPCs are.All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -

Isn't the above a breach of the road traffic act or some such, taking a hand off the wheel to make a rude sign at someone? If you had their registration number you could report them to the police
