If your mum is that sick, why not move back in with her, it will be cheaper for you and you can look after her, paying her back for all the years she worked full time and looked after you (for nothing)

Do soemthing with your life, go to college, get some qualifications so that gettig a job will be easier.
The way you are, what are your realistic expectations of your life in 10 years time. If you dont do something, you will stay exactly as your are now, jobless and potless.

    hi all

the lodger idea is nothing to do with me. i dont get involved in her claims, she has 2 kids and a room a each so i dont think she will be beothered.

i have discussed moving in with mum but she is independant and likes her place with no-one in.

i can assure you she has a new house (well about 3 years ago) and is social housing.

You don't need to be involved to make a suggestion. If you care about her, surely any attempt to improve her and the kids lives will be easy to put forward?

If your Mum is independent is is a joke to be suggesting claiming for a carers allowance.

HA in my area too - but not the council. Just musing as I thought that other than scotland no LA were building council homes?
