  • Hey :D

    Happy New Year -

hmm what have I been upto.

Worked NYE day & night. Got paid for xmas extras. Worked 4 hours yesterday.

Had some lovely bday gifts including cash, bath stuff and wine :D Also had a lovely meal out from mummy.

Not food shopped just bought milk/bread/'butter' as needed.

Done dailies all year ;) and a couple of other comps.

GF & SB. Free charity clicks.

Spent some time practising interview technique with OH mum.

Planning to get more seriously into job hunting but also skill development.

Went out for a few hours NYD - tradtion where we come from but clearly not where we live. Had chinese - I had LO for brekkie next day.

Last night had sausage omelette & toms & beans with LO from NYD brekkie.

Keep looking for new places. Considering another area where my travel would also be cheaper.

Picked up a few bits using vouchers but nothing stood out to me so am going to look online for the few bits I need/want.

Need to - check banking, check 1poll, wash up - take the stuff I out the dishwasher that I put there so it is out of sight :D

Saw Skyfall at cinema last night - I said why don't we go on Weds - thats what NY does to me :D

Don't think I will spend any money today unless it is vouchers can't see me going anywhere :D

Hey I've been lurking on your diary for a bit (not sure if I've ever posted!) but putting stuff in the dishwasher out of sight is totally something I do all the time in a panic if someone turns up unannounced / unexpectedly. And then curse myself cos it's such a drag getting them all back out again!

  • Hey Scuff. Well I guess its MSE to leave em there til they build up a bit, I know what you mean though it can be a pain when they eventually need dealing with. :)

*Applied for various jobs. Passed a telephone interview yesterday and have another one Friday.
*Booked train tix through TCB & RSH.
*Food - got pizza out to defrost yesterday & pasta out today, had some chicken curry soup that had been lurking in cupboards today. Also on Sun used up what had in fridge.

    * Usually clickies & SBTV
    * Enquired about local volunteering opp
    * Spent this morning watching kids films as have a cold and feeling run down - usually get on with life but only just got rid of one and was same before that one
    * Still not actually got round to using xmas vouchers

  • I am an idiot :mad::mad::mad:

Starting again. Avoiding the full picture here, so no wonder I don't feel motivated and wonder what I am doing here!!

Stupid things I have done -

:o Opened a Very Account - started off with £25 off min spend voucher with 3 months interest free payment option. Then I ordered from there again and again. OH also opened account.
:o Had a credit card limit increase - and then used it (buying concert tickets as well as other stuff (presents :o, food), also accidently went over limit - something I have never done & did not realise would happen - luckily spotted quickly and OH transferred money & bought it back right - make sure to overpay by fee amount even if not told to to avoid getting caught out :o

OH still in habit of taking out payday loans each month.
We also owe money to our mums :o:mad:

Bought sweets and chocolate yesterday :o - need to give up sweets completely. As well as meaning I am in a shop - v. bad -end up picking stuff up - yesterday I bought chewing gum - not something I ever buy, very bad for my waistline and my teeth. Managed to do it last year (at lent no idea why just fancied a challenge not religious).

OH had letter yesterday from a CC that said he had paid 650 in interest - which he said put things in to perspective. So he's coming on to.

Feel such a stupid idiot writing this post, but I hope that it means that I will now be able to and more motivated to tackle it - not sure my heart was in it before - I was serious enough? I just hope that is the case.

My Main Objectives Right Now -

To get a full time job - even on min wage its not getting enough hours that are the problem, I could be very comfortable if full time
Raising some more cash in the meantime

Some positivies (including the little ones)

:) Work main job Thursday yesterday, tomorrow
:) Worked Fri & Sat night - same again this week
:) No takeaways :A - avoided this by cooking at stupid o'clock on Fri, on Saturday we had a decent meal at home not that long before I started, and Sunday I made curry
:) OH went out Fri night & Sunday daytime - a lot less than usual
:) Pie roll from freezer with mash & veg for last night (OH bought potatoes & other bits - another roll cheap from Mr A, his hair gel - food mainly - he also bought choc & cake - but pointed out he had bought a multipack - 25p each rather than the 60p it costs him at work. Will have LO curry tonight.
:) I spent Sunday preparing for assessment & interview I have this week (also doing that today just having a break to do this and have a cuppa - really want to be most prepared person in those rooms, I am also trying to build my confidence with various tips and tricks as I believe that is one of my main barriers)
:) OH at an event for work = no diesel today and 'free lunch'.
:) Paid the 'take 3' payment on Very account on Fri - next 2 orders are at least on interest free periods - need to make sure I do things in a decent order.
:) Potentially have a new place sorted (fingers crossed) £100 a month cheaper, cheaper bills, very convinent location which will allow me to keep both jobs, in some ways nicer than here
:) Sorted clothes etc to get rid of - thought this was an ideal time - don't wanna take stuff I don't use with me
:) Been able to use railcard due to work times
:) Not called into the pub after work - although we did both have a glass of wine last night which would probably would have not been used otherwise (open bottle & was a gift)
:) SB & GH - first full year for me so collecting as many vouchers as possible - will use for gifts this year as that is part of my downfall
:) 1poll - nearly there, VO - also nearly there - and doing a text survey atm
:) Updated linked in profile - actually looks professional now! Also made security settings on FB stronger. Saw a really interesting advert for a local bar job yesterday - I think I could borrow & adapt some of their stuff to showcase my skills better.
:) Comping especially magazine dailies - won some booby cream :D

    To do -

    Lots more interview prep :D
Chase dialaphone up about a missing cheque

I think that's quite enough of my ramblings.

  • So -

Loads of prep & watching vids etc (confidence, interview technique)

Updated my sig - to reflect debts but added wins also - wanted something positive.

    Request cheque to be reissued.

    More SB.

Checked Very account - money credited for something returned.

Moved the contents of my bank account (very little) into my ISA - figured better sat in there than the current account.

The OH seems to have called in the pub - declined invitation to join him !

Just ordered a new buzz box - they have sweeties now (which at least are free!!

    Did mag dailies on ipad
    Downloaded kindle for ipad
Looked at sites see if could recycle an old laptop
Did £30 cashback reg (from free stuff section here)

    This morning

SB & GH - done GH vids
    Checked banking
Checked dialaphone - they have sent me a response message
