The only time my McDonald's/Coke glasses have ever broken is when I launched one at a wall! I'm not a big fan of McDonald's but I will definitely be venturing down for 1 meal to get myself a glass =]
  • Great but why a large meal - making the country even more obese but won't stop me buying a large meal for lunch tomorrow just to get a glass - guess I could get a salad and not put the sauce on it.

You can purchase a glass separately for £1.49

I see McDs is even ramping up the price of the 'freebies' - Last year you could buy the 'gifts' for 99p now your paying £1.49!
It's not like McDonalds is losing money to warrant the price increases they're even going as far as charging 10 - 20p for extra gherkins on your burger, I can understand charging extra for an extra patty or cheese, but to charge for the bit that is healthier is total bonkers.

Also the whole price structure has slowly increased because of the Olympics as one of the staff at my regular McDs said, when you go to the Olympic Parks, they'll be the same price down there as they are here - what they didn't say is they're making our prices the same as London during the games.
An example of which a stand alone Big Mac burger I thought was £1.99 has risen to £2.59 the Medium Value Meal £3.99 has gone to £4.39 it's ridiculous.

I only tend to go in now for the free wifi and a cup of (what's in this water) tea.

As for previous glasses, I've collected almost all of them the past few years, but never used, kept in their box at the top of the cabinet out of reach, they look prettier that way.

I've had a few of these over the years and I really like them, none of them have broken and all have been well used!

Me too! I've (sadly) collected the Coke glasses every time there's been a promotion with the large meals and none have broke.

In my old job I used to deal with easily a hundred of these glasses a day (coincidence that the promotion coincides with the school holidays, I don't think so). I only ever had 3 break.

Got mine today(Yellow) when I brought a Big Mac Meal, thought I'd go large as a treat, and it was a nice suprise to get given a glass, as I didn't know about the promotion.

Still using the can shapped glass, they gave away, so hopefully this will last aswell.

The only difference in sizes is the fries and the drink, so cal wise the fries are 130 extra for large, and if you get a diet drink that will be minimal extra :T so don't feel guilty for having a large!!
